The Final Task

"Zane! Honey! Wake up!" Nana exclaimed. "It's time for the final day on the amazing race!" She exclaimed. Zane rubbed his eyes. "You're awake! Doesn't this usually go the other way?" He asked. "I woke up early, so we had time to get ready!" She exclaimed. "You really didn't have to, you can go back to sleep for about another hour," Zane offered, "I can just get ready and then wake you up," Zane offered. "No, just let me be sweet!" Nana exclaimed. "Okay then..." Zane said, getting up. As Zane got ready, all he could think about was Nana, he HAD to do it right. (if there are any Moriah Elizabeth fans out there, just have "Just Do It Right" play right now, NO PRESSURE ZANE WHATSOEVER hehe) He hadn't bought the ring yet, but he had ideas, but nothing was set in stone.

"Wow, this is over, I can't believe for the last week and a half, and that we left Adrain with your parents for that long!" Aphmau exclaimed. "What, did you not think they could handle it?" Aaron asked. "No, I'm the one who said he went there, and it was also for safety reasons," Aphmau said. "Well, things seemed to go well," Aaron said. "But he did get stuck in a tree...." Aaron said. "Not the first time that's happened to a baby, although he's a toddler, whatever," Aphmau said. "Please don't remind me," Aaron said shaking his head. "Well, Adrain can be the replacement baby for Lilith, although I think we're a smidge too late..." Aphmau said. "You don't say," He replied.

"Welcome to the last day of the Amazing Race! I know tensions are high, but I expect a good clean day of competition," The producer said. "Well, I'd like you to know that it's been nice competing with you," Ivy said. "Yeah, this was interesting, I'll say that much," Zane replied. "It's also nice knowing we're going to win!" Ivy added. "I knew that was coming," He said rolling his eyes. "Well, do yall wanna know you task or not?" He asked. "Oh yeah, what is it?" Kawaii~Chan asked. "Well, you will be driving a Trabi, which is a little rental car, kinda like a taxi, but anyway, you have to drive the taxi to the airport, to your flight home," He explained. "Well, this can't be that hard, we got this!" Lily exclaimed. "We're so ready to show them who's boss! And even better, we get to do that on TV!" Ivy exclaimed. "Well, got a plan?" Zane asked. "Well, what if we just pull up the fastest route on google maps, that's not against the rules, I honestly don't know why they're giving us such a simple task for the final round, but I'm not gonna question it," Kawaii~Chan replied.

"I can't even believe this is already over," Katelyn said. "I know right! But I'm ready to go home," Aphmau replied. The rest of the "gang" was in the lobby, the two remaining teams had left, and they were waiting in the lobby for their escort, which happened to be a limo. "I'm surprised you guys didn't win," Aphmau said. "Well, the chicken stopped me," Katelyn replied. "I'm sorry Katelyn! Please don't make me sleep on the couch!" Travis exclaimed with remorse. "Don't worry, I still love you," Katelyn replied. "Phew," Travis said, full of relief. "Ooh! I wonder how Zane and Kawaii~Chan are doing!" Garroth exclaimed, "I bet they're winning!" "Who knows," Vylad shrugged.

"So, take a left in about 1000 meters, gosh I wish this was in U.S. Customary, but I know you can do it," Kawaii~Chan said. Everything was going well, there was like no traffic! It was too good to be true, and they were on track to win $10000 that Zane could use his half to go towards funding for an engagement ring. "So, do you have any plans for when we go back home?" Kawaii~Chan asked. "Well...." Zane said, blushing. "Well, keep your eyes on the road," Kawaii~Chan said. After a while, they ran into a problem... THE FREAKING RUSH HOUR "Are you serious! Traffic for days!" Zane exclaimed, honking the horn. "Well, I know we can make it out of here, I bet Lily and Ivy are having the same problem," Zane reassured.

Meanwhile....
"Ivy! You're such a genius! To take the outer roads so we don't have traffic!" Lily exclaimed. "You bet cuz! I can't wait to beat those nerds!" Ivy exclaimed. "But isn't the airport on the eastern side of the city?" Lily asked. "Oh, don't worry, speeding never hurt anyone!" Ivy exclaimed.

"Looks like we're not getting anywhere," Kawaii~Chan sighed, 30 minutes latter. "Well, we made it this far, and I know reality tv can tear people apart, but I think we've grown even farther together," Zane said, leaning in on Kawaii~Chan, and their lips touched, and they kissed. "Great this will totally get the fans shipping this!" The camera man said from the back. "Do you mind?" Zane said furiously. "I'm just doing my job," He shrugged. "It's fine Zane," Kawaii~Chan assured.

"When do you think Zane and Kawaii~Chan, and Lily and Ivy will get here?" Aphmau asked. "Maybe they got stuck in rush hour, seems reasonable enough," Katelyn shrugged. Everyone else was in a lounge at the airport, waiting for the remaining teams to show up. "WE DID IT! WE REALLY DID IT! I'M RICH!" Ivy exclaimed as they walked in. "You realize you only get $10000, and then you split it with your partner, so that's only $5000..." Vylad said. "Whatever, IN YOU FACE NERDS!" Lily exclaimed. "They seriously won...." Aphmau said, awestruck, but also surprised. "Yep! We sure did!" Ivy exclaimed. After about 10 more minutes or so, Zane and Kawaii~Chan showed up. "So, I suppose we lost?" Kawaii~Chan mourned. "Yep, you guys did a good job though," Katelyn said. "Congratulations Lily and Ivy, and now, it's time to board the plane!" The producer said. "Goodbye Berlin! We'll miss you! But I'm sure we'll see you again!" Aphmau waved. "Why are you waving to a city?" Aaron asked. "Why not?" Aphmau asked. "So, do you wanna take a trip here again sometime?" Aaron asked. "Naw, I was thinking more of we go here someday on a second honeymoon," She suggested.

Author's Note:So! Did you guys think Lily and Ivy would be the winners? Wait till you see what they also won besides money.... 2nd place also gets a prize, so yeah. This chapter doesn't have any references, except for the "Just Do It Right". And also, if you count The Final Task as a Harry Potter reference, although in the book it's called The Third Task 🤔Also, don't speed kids. I realized that they shouldn't really be driving cars in a foreign country, not sure if that's legal, but there's comedy if there's no logic, so yeah. Wise words Slyvanna 😅
