The Shock

"What do you mean I am in danger? Why?"

"You will die if you don't come with us," Monique responded.

Bridget looked startled as she tried to process the stranger's words.

Stephen leant near Monique's left ear and whispered something, then attempted to get through to her, "trust us, we want to help you come with us to a place of safety."

Something in his voice made her believe him, and she found herself agreeing.
