It is the day of quidditch trials for Gryffindor. Ron has decided that he wants to go out for keeper. As I walk down the hallway Ron catches up to me.

"Why are you forcing me to take potions?" Ron asks.

"I'm not forcing you. You can drop the class at any time." I smile. "But NEWT level potions will help you get a job after you graduate."

"I don't want to take Potions. The Quidditch trials are today and I could have had a lot more practice if I wasn't in potions. And if I make keeper I'll need even more practice," Ron argues.

I wrap my arm around him. "Come on now you're a Weasley you'll do great. It runs in the family after all."

Ron scowls at me. "No pressure."

I chuckle. "Ron you will do amazing I'm sure of it."

"Yeah," Ron says.

I shove him playfully. "Now off you go. You've got trials." Ron nods as he starts off. "Good luck!" I call after him.

I spot Hermione sitting in one of the stands around the quidditch pitch.

"Hermione," I greet.

She smiles when she sees me. "Tam."

I sit down next to her. "How are classes going?"

"Alright," Hermione tells me.

I look at her curiously. "Just alright?"

Hermione nods. "Is it possible for an Amortentia to change or be wrong?"

I look at her curiously. "What is this about?"

"Well in potions class Slughorn made us smell an Amortentia," Hermione tells me.

"And?" I ask.

"You cannot tell anyone," Hermione insists.

I nod my head. "I promise."

"The smell. It smelt like freshly mown grass and new parchment and... Ron's shampoo," Hermione tells me.

I can't help but smile. "And you weren't expecting that?" Hermione shakes her head. "Well an Amortentia can know us better than we know ourselves."

"Have you smelt an Amortentia?" Hermione asks.

"I haven't smelt an Amortentia since potions class my sixth year," I tell her.

"Do you remember what it smelled like?" Hermione asks.

I smile. "But I remember it smelled like parchment and tea and chocolate." I chuckle. "I thought it was because I was in love with this boy Zander Fowl. So we dated until nine months after we graduated."

"Why did you break up?" Hermione asks.

"Some things happened and he couldn't handle it. So he just left," I tell her. "But I realized that the Amortentia wasn't the smell of Zander, it was Remus." I shake my head as I laugh. "Thought the chocolate should have been the give away." Hermione smiles slightly. "But word of advice. Ron is as thick headed as they come. He won't ever figure it out until you tell him straight no beating around the bush."

Everyone is out on the pitch. I spot Ron standing by himself. I can see from the look on his face he is worried. Everyone else is fooling around and talking while Ron is standing rigged with a look of worry on his face.

"Okay, so this morning, I'm gonna be putting you all for a few drills just to assess your strengths," Harry says. No one stops talking. "Quiet, please!"

"Shut it!" Ginny shouts.

Everyone stops talking and turns to face Harry.

I chuckle. "When you're the youngest of eight you make sure you're heard."
