Chapter 4💞

"So, you're the new kid in the Choi house right?" Seungkwan looked up. She nodded. "You looked a bit lost, sis. Anyways, I'm Chanhee, but everyone calls me New. What's your name?"

   Seungkwan had mixed vibes, but talked to her anyways. "Seungkwan." "Nice to meet you, Seungkwan. I think we'll be great friends."

   Seungkwan gave her a look. "You do seem cool. I'd love to be friends with you." "Yay! Now, what the hell is that?"

"AP Calculus. Also known as: satan." Chanhee laughed. "You're a funny chick. I'm glad I ran into you."

"Hey, NewNew. Who's this?" Two girls walked over to them. "Oh this is Seungkwan. She's new here." The other girls nodded. "Well, it's nice to meet you. I'm Hwanwoong. This is Jungwoo." "Nice to meet you."

   "Let's not leave her in the dust." They sat with her until lunch ended. They talked and got to know each other more. "We don't necessarily hate it here, but I honestly feel like there could be so much more going on here," New said.

   "I don't know how this goes. I just got here haha. I guess they weren't joking when they said it's boring here," Seungkwan said.

   "Isn't it obvious honey? We make shit out of no shit." Hwanwoong said. Seungkwan laughed. Then she was interrupted by a phone call. "Hold on girls."

   She went and picked up the phone, thinking about who is on the other line. "Hello?" She then heard sniffing. "Seungkwan noona." She widened her eyes as she heard the familiar voice, almost breaking down. "Dino! You're okay??"

"Hey. How'd it go?" Wonwoo asked. Seungkwan looked a bit confused. "How'd what go?" "Your first day, genius."

"Oh. It went okay. Made a couple friends here and there." Everyone smiled. "Damn you move fast. But that's good." "Stop it, Jisoo."

   They all got home. "Honeyy we're home!" "I'm in the kitchen!" Seungkwan tugged Jeonghan's sleeve. "Can I ask a favor?" Jeonghan had a worried look, but agreed regardless. "Sure, baby. What's wrong?"

  "Is it possible to find my little brother in the system?" Jeonghan widened his eyes. "Um, it may be possible, yea. Want me to see if I can?" "Yes please. He's in trouble." "Okay. What's his name?"

  "Everything okay?" Seungcheol asked. Jeonghan sighed. "Seungkwan has a younger brother that may be in a bad foster home. Looking to see if I can find him." "Oh gosh. Well, if we do find him, make sure he's not having any other problems. Hate for him to be bad off."

    "Dad, you're good at chemistry right?" Seungcheol snorted. "Jisoo, have I ever shown any talent for science?" "Noted." She walked out. "Go help her man. Woozi and Wonwoo are a year behind her."

Seungcheol sighed. "Jeonghan, honey, ain't no way in hell I can help her. Science was never my strong suit."

   Jeonghan was getting a bit irritated. "Well, draw a bubble map at least? Hell, do something." Seungcheol couldn't speak. "Ok I'll try to give her some hope." He walked out.

   Jeonghan kept searching for Dino, and couldn't find his name in the system. "Seungkwan, could you come here please?" Said girl walked in the room. "Well honey, I can't find him anywhere." He gave her a look.

    Seungkwan looked hurt. "Did you use his nickname? Or his birth name?" Jeonghan looked up. "What's his birth name?"

  "Chan. Lee Chan." Jeonghan looked for him under that name. To his surprise, he popped up first. "Well hot damn."

"You found him?" Jeonghan turned the computer to him. "Is this him?" Seungkwan nodded. "Yes. That's definitely him."

  "You can't take him!" Seungkwan was currently out with Seungcheol, who was helping her get custody of Dino.

   The poor boy was scared out of his mind, wanting to be with his older brother. "He's staying here. I refuse to let you take him. He's mine."

  "Ma'am, it's obvious you're scaring him. Don't you want what's best for him?" "I AM what's best for him!"

  "Seungkwan noona, please." He kept reaching out to her, but his mom wouldn't let him go.

   "Ma'am, I'll have to open a case if this continues." She wouldn't budge. "I'll take care of him. Better than I could deal with the other one." Seungkwan looked hurt. "I got an idea. Let's go." "Wait huh?"

   Seungcheol shushed him. "Wait noona, don't leave me again! Please!" His mom slapped him. "You shut up!"

   Seungkwan lost it and ran to her younger brother, pushing her down. "You're coming with me." "Move it or lose it, kids! Let's go!" Seungcheol said.

  They drove to the police station. "Okay. We need to get his files. It's evident that the conditions he lived in were very unsanitary and abusive." "Cheol, what's happening?" Leedo walked in. "Another case. CPS. It's urgent."

   "Dude, I swear you guys are going crazy with these kids." "He's my baby brother. He's staying with me." Seungcheol looked up the paper work for Dino and was lucky to find his files.

  "Okay here we go." Seungkwan checked the boy, making sure everything with him was fine. "Did you leave anything vital at that house?" Dino shook his head. "Nothing important." "Okay. As for tonight, you're coming home with us." They left.
