What could I say. I flushed once again. He must be used to my embarrassment by now.

"Sure" I replied unable to understand what this boy was implying. I have loved him forever but why now?

He grabbed my hand. I held tight as he lifted me off the seat. He put his hand around my waist and I began to felt nauseous. His touch was so comforting. I've never felt anything like it before. We caught the attention of most, whispering and giggling with one another. As the little bell rang above the diner door indicating our departure the lady at the bar (Nina) winked at me. She knew my mum. She was almost like a second mum to me. Her daughter died at a young age, she had never recovered, so she looked out for me like her own when my mum didn't. Her forehead creases indicated her trauma, nevertheless she was still beautiful in her own way. My heart pumped even louder as I peeked my head around the door and Rosie was gone. My smile died away. Would she really ditch me? I guess she had changed. I frowned.

"Are you okay" chase asked

"yes fine." I lied. He knew this.

Soon the diner was just a small monument in the distance. He carried my limp mixed bag of emotions body up the hill, which sat just up the edge of a large field. He put me down just as we approached the field.

"I really should've laid off that burgers you could've carried me for longer" I joked.

He blushed and chuckled, his shoulders un-tensing. His rippling muscles loosening under his soft grey linen shirt which peeked through his dark leather jacket, creased and worn, but god did he pull it off well. I laughed at my observation and smiled as I looked into his hazy brown eyes.

We sat back on the hill and glanced upon the ant-like world from below. Everything and everyone looked so small.I felt on top of the world. I laid my head on his lap and he smiled. We talked about my family his family, dreams ,aspirations,  at this point he had my heart.

"What were you doing in that diner all alone anyway?" he asked.

"Nosy" I laughed. "I was with a friend or I used to be her friend anyway".

"oh. I'm sorry"

"no, no don't be it lead me here" I responded hoping to lighten the mood.

"My family are going to a concert next week and I was wondering if you wanted to come over?"

"Me ? Really!" I said excited.

"yeah sure" he said cooly. I beamed so hard it thought my lips were going to touch my ear lobes.

"I better be going" I said I don't want my mum worrying about me.

"Let me drive you home" he said.

"Oh what?" I asked, and then the penny dropped. We walked away for a brief moment and I heard a low rumble coming from the greenery. Of course he had a motor cycle. My heart pounded in my chest, at any moment it would break free. I swallowed hard and sat on the leather seat.He sat on the front, roaring the engine sending a rumble through the whole bike, and my body in fact. "Are you sure about this" I said unsure.

"Just hold on" he reassured. I wrapped my long arms around his muscular body. His breathing was deep and slow, calming in fact. He was warm, not hot but warm. The world was going in slow motion, my hair tussled around in the wind, blowing about like in a movie film where the girl lets go of her scarf, but I was not letting go of anything, especially him.
