Jace walks inside his house from school. His mother saw that he came back. "Jace sweetie, your school called and said that you were bullied again. This is the 13th time this month!" He looks down shyly. His little sister hugs one of his legs. "Yay!! Sister Jenny's home!!!!" His mother picks up his sister. "Lily dear. He goes by Jace, he doesn't like being called Jenny anymore." Jace was just being silent, he hated being called by his dead name. Lily apologized "Sorry Jace..."
"It's fine Lily. you're only 7," Jace comforted Lily. "Why do you like being a boy anyway?" Lily asked. "Well, I just feel like I was supposed to be a boy". "ooh! oke!'' Lily seemed to get the hang of Jace being trans.
"So mom, have you found a place to live yet? I remember you talking about moving somewhere where you can have your coffee shop closer to us or something like that". Jace asked his mother while he was opening a can of soda. "Well, I did find a nice place up in New York" His mother explained, "I know its a few states away, but one its safer for you and Lily, two it will be easier for your father to get back when he's back from the military, and three I heard New York is an amazing place".
Jace nearly spat out his soda. "Mom. One dad has been away for almost 3 years now, two I have grown up and gotten used to living in Michigan my whole life, and three New York has a lot of greys." His mom sat down. "Jace sweetie, I know you aren't used to being in other places, but I promise living more east will be nice. Just give it a chance." Jace thought about it, then said "Well, it would be good to try new things. Ok mom, when are we moving?" "Next Tuesday, so it will be in 12 days." his mother explained. "you don't need to have all the things out of this house right now. we are going to come back and get the rest of the stuff. around 3 trips should do."
"Ok mom, 'll get my stuff ready." He goes to his room and folds some of his clothes and puts them in a box. After that, he got to his desk and started working on his homework. He then finished his homework for the day. He then gets up and changes into more comfortable clothing. he grabs his basketball and walks downstairs. "Mom, can I go play outside? I'm done with my homework and put some stuff in boxes." He had asked his mother. "Sure thing sweetie, just be back inside before dinner." His mom said. Jace walked out of the house and started playing basketball alone. After playing outside and eating he went to bed. the next mourning he got dressed and got ready for school. He walked outside and got on the bus. he put his headphones on and looked out the window while the bus drove off. He got to the school and put his hood up. He got to his locker and opened it.
Someone walked behind him. "Hey, Jenny. You still pretending to be a boy?" Someone said mockingly. Jace stayed silent. He grabbed his books and walked to his class. He sat down in his seat and class started.
-*time skip because I'm lazyyyyyyyy*-It was the last day before moving to New York. Jace was eating lunch alone outside. "Hey freak, I hear it was your last day here." Jace looked up and saw it was one of the many bullies he had at the school. "Yea, I'm moving to New York." He said. "Why are you moving? You trying to get away from this school because we know the truth!?" Jace stays silent. He didn't want to be in a fight on his last day. The school bell rang and Jace went back to class. He finished the rest of his classes and went back home.
Jace went to his room and packed the rest of his stuff in the moving boxes. He took down his posters and rolled them up and put them in a tall thin box. When he finished packing his stuff he was called downstairs for dinner. He goes downstairs and sits at the table. after dinner, he goes upstairs and goes to bed.
