The bus ride had been filled with the sounds of chatter and laughter from both Quinn and me.

It allowed for a greater bond to be formed between the two of us and I enjoyed it thoroughly.

Currently, we were heading to the cooking class. I couldn't wait to start.

Quinn and I had finally gotten over the anxiety that had overpowered us and to say that I enjoyed the comfortable feeling that engulfed us would be a huge understatement.

The place that the cooking class was going to be held was some well-known school that held outside classes on certain weekends.

The best thing about it was that it wasn't some expensive, white collared place that only accepted the kids of high standing members of society.

If it was that expensive I wouldn't be here.

"Hello, we're here for the cooking class?" Quinn said in a questioning manner.

"Okay, which one?" the receptionist asked with a chirpy smile.

"Which...one?" Quinn looked confused at the response she received.

"Yes ma'am, there are currently four cooking classes that we offer today, the breakfast, lunch, dinner or dessert there are some who buy the bundle and get to enjoy all classes," the lady informed us, her smile still present on her face. "So which one ma'am?"

"Could you look for the one with a Quinn Hopkins and Eliza Marshall?" a blush began sprouting on her face when she realized that she hadn't checked which one she signed up for.

"Sure thing, just give me a minute please?" the lady seemed to have perfected the art of customer service because she held her smile and it seemed to have no signal showing any falseness. It appeared completely genuine.

"It's fine Quinn, whatever cooking class we end up doing, I'm sure it'll be fun and we'll be fine," I told her trying my best to comfort her.

"I just can't believe that I didn't check what class we were going to do, I didn't even know that there were so many classes," she hung her head in shame, the blush only growing stronger.

"So you'll be going to the dessert cooking class, you're right on time so don't worry about being late or anything and really just have fun!" she gave us our campus passes and sent us on our way with two maps.

Quinn grabbed my hand and pulled me away. It didn't seem she was watching where she was going and I just decided to follow. Whatever happened, it happened.

"I have this feeling that we're going to get lost if we don't use the maps," I commented.

"Shit," she muttered. "I'm sorry about that"

"It's fine," I told her. "Let's just see where this goes, it hasn't gone bad at all and hopefully it won't go bad anytime throughout the day"

"Yeah, hopefully," she muttered, still looking dejected.

I didn't like she was feeling down already and it was just the beginning of our date. I pulled her in for a hug, hoping that it would comfort her.

She seemed like she wanted it more than anything because she grabbed my shirt in a tight clasp, burying her face in the crook of my shoulder. All I did was wrap my arms around her, rubbing her back in, what I hoped would be, a comforting embrace.

"Thank you," she whispered before taking a deep breath and removing her body from mine.

"Anytime," I told her with a smile. "Now let's go find that cooking class"

We had to go all the way back to the receptionist desk before making our way to the class, with the help of the map. Luckily we hadn't made any turns in the dash from earlier or we would have probably been lost.

After a short five minute walk, we managed to find the room for the class and it seemed mother luck was on our side because the class was yet to begin. With that Quinn and I went in and found an empty station to stay.

The teacher, I assumed, eventually came in and began walking around, checking all the members in the class. Once he was sure that we all were here he began giving us the details.

"Hello everyone, it's an absolute pleasure to see so many of you here today," he greeted with a smile. "Now I know that none of you knows what we're going to be making today, so if you could just look on the counter in front you'll see all the information you need about the treat we're going to look about"

With that new piece of information, everyone began flipping through the file they had received.

"As you all have seen, we're making madeleines today," the lead chef addressed. "This is a simple treat and really doesn't require too much"

We went through all the steps and he gave us some baking tips that were helpful for any treat we wanted to make. Tips that were completely new to me, a person who really enjoyed baking.

Currently, we were waiting on the dough. It had to sit, refrigerated for about 1 hour and after that, we would proceed to the final stages of the treat.

I was really enjoying myself and my only hope was that Quinn was as well. For this date to be considered successful we both needed to be having fun. That way the memories that would come from it would be ones that we could look back on and enjoy.

Speaking of memories I should get some pictures in. Those would be a great way to store memories.

With that in mind, I grabbed my phone and snapped a picture of Quinn while she was distracted. Of course, she somehow realized and turned around.

"Did-Did you take a picture of me?" she stuttered out, a rosy blush blooming across her face.

"Caught red-handed, couldn't resist it," I said with a smile.

"It would have been better if it had us both in it," she mumbled before turning back around.

"Let's do that," I completely agreed with her suggestion and placed my hand around her shoulder for a quick selfie with us both.

"Wait, I wasn't ready that time," she said while trying to grab the phone from me, a task she failed in completing.

"Well it's perfect," I commented, looking at the picture I took with a soft smile.
