Prem Point of View

Every year Boun threw a New Years' Party, it had become a bit of an official tradition. All of our friends, a few of his top clients, and his neighbors would be in attendance. And every year it was a great time. Several cars were parked up and down Boun's street, I could hear the music blaring from inside his house,

Mean was already there, leaning against his car, his arms folded across his chest, ankles crossed, looking completely and utterly bored. He insisted on us taking separate cars because he wanted to leave whenever he felt like it. Even though we broke up last week, he reluctantly agreed to come along still, because I hadn't told any of my friends that we weren't together anymore.

Mean {Prem's Ex-Boyfriend}

The reason we broke up was the same reason why my other relationships didn't last. My girlfriends/boyfriends always felt like I put Boun before them. And truthfully, I did. I couldn't recall a day in my life where he wasn't apart of my memories. He was loyal, always patient, and protected me. His importance seemed to outweigh any other relationship. When placed in the position to choose between him or them...I always chose Boun as he always chose me.

Mean and I had been on and off for a couple of years now and the day he met Boun he despised him almost instantly, the feeling was mutual. My first tattoo was the cause of our most recent break-up.

Boun and I were entering our twentieth year of friendship soon, so I decided to get a tattoo just to express how grateful I was to have him in my life.

My fondest memories together were sitting on his parent's roof and watching the stars in the sky. I felt this tattoo was fitting. It combined our favorite childhood past time with Boun's zodiac sign.

Cancer is the 31st largest constellation in the sky, occupying an area of 506 square degrees. It was my favorite constellation and conveniently happened to be Boun's zodiac sign.

It was fate.

The moment Mean saw my new tattoo he flipped out and dumped me on the spot.

"Thanks for coming." I told him.

Mean exhaled deeply.

"You're lucky I didn't have anything to do tonight, but the moment I feel like the third wheel, I'm gone." He muttered disdainfully. "Got it?"

"Got it." I remarked.

Mean broke out into a fake smile.

"Now, let's go pretend we're a happy couple."
