Inspired by: A random dream I had and a threadfic I read on twitter
Idea: The ruler of Aslatile likes one of the servants in the palace a little too much. In order to keep this crush a secret, the servant is treated harshly, even when compared to the other servants of the palace. The servant actually likes the ruler but is pretty sure that the ruler hates their guts when it's actually the opposite. What would the servant do if they find out about the reason behind the Aslatilean leader's hostile behaviour against him.
Note: Aslatile is a fantasy Utopian country I made up, the time of the story is set at approximately the 17th to 18th century. It is very peaceful and does not take part in any of the wars mentioned in history because the leaders of Aslatile use magic and are too OP for the normal people out there. Of course, the other countries don't know that magic exists in Aslatile and just assumes that Aslatile is very powerful country that none of them can afford to mess with. Mind-reading is also one type of magic but it is prohibited to be used on others without their consent, which is why the servant does not know of the ruler's crush on them until later on.
