growing up with jack gilinsky as my older brother had its perks, such as his friends. they were always super nice to me and not too bad to look at. but it also came with its downsides. such as the fact that his friends are always around me but they are totally and completely off limits. it's been just over a year since the jacks and sammy graduated high school and i just graduated last week and as a celebration we're going to california to spend some time with some of jack's other friend.

the jacks had taken the liberty of renting an apartment for us to stay in while we're here because we are planning to spend a few months here. with their ever growing fame and all, it's helpful to be in the city that can make or break any career.

when we got to our already furnished apartment we took the time to get completely unpacked and settled in. there was only 3 bed rooms so someone would have to share. the jacks both decided that they each get a room because they are paying for the place so they don't think they should have to share. jack decided that i get the last room and sammy would just have to sleep on the couch.

i honestly felt kinda bad that sammy had to sleep on the couch but at the same time i knew he was a fuckboy so there was no way i was letting him sleep with me. that's a recipe for disaster.

once we were all settled in to our rooms the guys decided to invite nate and tez over. i had only met tez a few times but i was pretty close with nate seeing as he grew up with us in omaha. i was really excited to see nate because i haven't seen him since he graduated and i missed him more than my dog that died at the end of my sophomore year an that dog was my best friend.

about twenty minutes after they invite the guys over there's a knock on the door.

"abigail?!? can you get that please? i think its the guys!" i head jack yell from his room.

i groan but get up to answer the door anyways. as soon as i open the door i'm greeted by nate's smiling face and cute ass dimples. "nate!!!" i screamed at the top of my lungs and threw myself on him, wrapping my arms around his neck and my legs around his waist as i hugged him like my life depended on it.

"hey abs. i haven't seen you in forever. i've missed you like crazy." nate chuckles as he sets me on the ground again.

"i know! i've missed you too! why haven't you been back to omaha since graduation? i was starting to think that yo hate me." i said with a faked sad face as we sat on the couch while tez went to find the guys.

"abs, you know i could never hate you. i've just been super busy out here trying to make a name for myself." he said with a slightly sad undertone to his voice.

i was about to say something when sammy walked into the room. nate and him did a bro hug thing and then sat down to talk. i took this as my cue to leave. i went into jack's room to tell him that i was gonna go run some errands.

"hey jack. i'm gonna go to the store and get some groceries and then pick up some food to eat because we have nothing here and i'm too tired to cook." i told him before turning around to leave. i didn't need his permission to do so i was an independent woman, i was simply letting him know i would be leaving.

as i was walking out the door i heard sammy yell my name, "abi! where are you going?"

"any where to get away from you." i said before shutting the door and getting into our temporary rental car.
