The mid-afternoon sky was painted with clouds of grey that accommodated the gallons of water waiting to be released over the rolling hills. This type of weather always made you feel drowsy, and this time, Touya was also sympathizing with your request. You both stumble back to the bedroom, passing the nursery that harbored your sleeping toddler, and prepared the sheets for you both to slip into. The sun was tucked behind layers upon layers of cotton-like clouds which allowed for your curtains to stay drawn and could observe the steady rainfall. Newfound parents are never supposed to have time to themselves you've always heard, this must've been a rare occurrence that you could not take for granted. Tears accumulated in the corners of your eyes in an attempt to hydrate your blood-shot vessels, begging for a few minutes of rest. Touya laid down first, extending his arm upwards towards the ceiling in an attempt to get you to be his little spoon, but you being a mother, wanted to go check the nursery one last time.

"He'll be fine, y/n. " Touya concurred, his voice deep and scratchy indicating he was already flaking-out. "The baby monitor is set up, we'll hear him if he wakes. "

Shrugging your shoulders, you obliged to his pleas. Touya was an amazing father, sometimes you catch yourself admitting that he's the better parent. when you first found out you were pregnant, you were terrified to tell him, but it turns out he wanted a family, and he was even more ecstatic than you were upon reveal. It's been a while since you both got to lay in the same bed together to fall asleep. Every night you two take turns sleeping on the day bed in the nursery with the little one; Touya's request in case he manifests his father's fire quirk in the middle of the night. But so far, the child has shown no signs of any quirk. There's even a large chance that he will never develop a quirk because of the divergence between Touya and yours.

Touya was thin in stature but soft and squishy in all the right places. His bicep made an excellent pillow for your worn-out mind to rest upon and his free arm clasped itself around your mid-section. If you both weren't so tired, you'd threaten the thought of trying for baby number 2. Your firstborn has already proved himself to be quite the hassle. Your mind became foggy as the unfamiliar feeling of rest preempted your body. Touya was already snoring and you finally drifted off to join him in dreamland.

Uncomfortable pangs of fullness radiated from your bladder, causing your mind to become aroused once more, After desperately fighting against Touya's tight grip, you quickly run to the bathroom to relieve yourself and try to calculate how long you were asleep. The refreshed feeling indicating that you were out for at least a couple of hours. Still honoring your husband's words, you didn't bother to check on the toddler as you were on a warpath back to the bedroom to resume your nap. The baby monitor hasn't notified you of detected movement or sound. However, you couldn't ignore the sudden draft that triggered your autonomous reaction, sending each individual hair on edge. Backtracking your steps, you peek inside the nursery and notice the window was cracked open, but no one was occupying the crib.

"TOUYA!" You shriek just before inducing a fit of panicked hyperventilation.

It felt like the world had just collapsed around you, suffocating your frail, helpless body with tons of debris. Touya ran in seconds after your desperate call was made and your knees could no longer hold your weight. Numb to all senses, only focusing on the tick from the wall clock that seemed to keep you somewhat grounded, you dropped to the floor. Cradling your knees in your chest, you began sobbing uncontrollably, a violent shutter set in. Touya looked around the room frantically. Unwanted feelings started clouding his usually beaming, bright blue eyes. Now they were bleak- filled with fear and despair as he began realizing the worst had happened. The room was spinning, Touya dropped to his knees right in front of you, but you couldn't seem to reach your hand out and grasp him. He was dry heaving now, blood from his staples was coating his ghostly white cheeks.

He was gone. The biological encase that possessed 50% of your DNA and 50% of your lovers. The physical proof that Dabi had passed on and Touya was resurrected. That toddler proved miracles could happen. Because upon first glance, the average person might renounce the thought of Touya's reproductive organ still being intact let alone containing any ounce of fertility. Hence, the red-haired, hot-tempered 2-year-old was named Sachi, which meant miracle.

Touya stood up, his eyes now burning with rage and nothing else. Your gaze followed him as he raised, mouth ajar with saliva caked around the corners.

"You stay here. Don't open the door and don't do anything stupid to yourself," Touya demanded, the hurt resonated from his voice. "I'm going to go fucking kill somebody."

It was almost as if your thoughts were telepathically shared between each other. You both knew who was responsible for this gut-wrenching, heinous crime and knew there was nothing that could be done to stop Touya from embarking on his revengeful quest. Calling authorities was not an option considering that Touya was still a wanted criminal; settling as far away from the cities as possible couldn't keep your perfect little family safe. It felt like you were left no choice but to live the rest of your life without a child or both your husband and child, or you could take your own life and not have to deal with the gaping hole in your heart. The look in Touya's eyes meant he was serious; you better still be alive when he gets back- if he even makes it back. Your quirk only granted you increased intelligence, no real skillset for fighting, just the ability to calculate Touya and Sachi's survival.

Touya set off, leaving you alone with just your horrid thoughts. You paced back and forth in the empty chambers of the house that once felt like home. Muttering curse words in between episodes of induced panic attacks and fits of sobbing. Suddenly, you remembered the dream you had before ever waking up earlier. It fell in line with the other dreams your mind usually played out- Touya, Sachi, and yourself enjoying a hot summer's day on the beach or at a theme park, proudly displaying your family to the public. Sachi's red hair was always so vivid in your dreams, reminding you of the pictures you would see of Touya when he was Sachi's age. But this dream you had was a tad different. Another child was tagging along on your adventures that gripped onto your shirt with little fists and looked you in the eyes calling you 'mommy.'

Suddenly you felt the urge to vomit for the umpteenth time that evening. You could not be pregnant again.

A/N: This one is kind of short; I really just woke up and word vomited this in a couple of hours so I apologize for any grammatical errors. Why I was in such an angsty mood, I have no idea, but it was a good opportunity to practice descriptions and take a break from smut!
