Chapter 5

"What are you cooking, baby? It smells delicious." Louis enters the kitchen and he goes straight to Harry. His head is resting against Harry's shoulder and his arms are wrapped around the boys' waist. "Chicken pasta. I hope you'll like it." Harry says focused on the food on the stove. "Anything you make is awesome. If your singing career doesn't work out you can still be a chef." Louis kisses Harry's cheek and then let's go of the boy. He stands on his toes to reach the cupboard. That's where the better silverware is stocked.

"I'll set the table already. Roxy and Jason should be here in an hour." Louis announces. Harry nods. "Oh Lou, is it fine I invited Shirley and Niall as well? I thought it might be fun you know, so your friend isn't the only girl stuck with all those guys." Louis gives his boyfriend a smile. "That's fine love. You know Nialler and Shirls are always welcome here. I miss them to be honest. I haven't seen them in a while." The smaller boy says taking two more plates out for his friends. "We were busy with important stuff." Harry smirks. The same smirk appears on Louis face. "Very important stuff. Might do some of that stuff later tonight." Louis whispers in Harry's ear. Louis has still that breath taking effect on Harry, making him speechless when he does things like this.

Niall and Shirley are already in the apartment. Louis and Niall are playing videogames while Harry and Shirley are talking about random things until the doorbell rings. "Shirley, can you play for me when I open up?" Louis asks. "Babe, I'm right here!" Harry says waving at his boyfriend. Louis walks closer up to Harry and puts his arms around Harry's neck. "Babe, I love you. You are my whole world but you suck at playing videogames." Louis gives him a quick peck and before Harry can react his boyfriend is already running towards the door.

"Louis! Here, we brought you this!" Roxy smiles at the older boy and hands him a bottle of wine. "Girl, you shouldn't have done that. Please come in! Hi, you must be Jason! I'm Louis, I heard a lot of great things about you." Louis introduces himself as they walk to the living room. Jason gives him a short answer and the three of them enter the living room.

"Rox, this is my boyfriend Harry. The crazy curly one with the cute dimples and..."

"It's fine, Lou. I think she knows who you mean. Hi I'm Harry! So nice to meet you. Louis talked about you a bit yesterday. Hope you are alright." They all introduce themselves but both Jason and Shirley don't say a word.

"So, this is Shirley. She is Niall's girlfriend. Shirley, this is Jason. He's with Roxy for already... 5 years am I right?" Louis introduces the pair. Roxy nods proudly, pulling her arm around Jason.

"I know who he is." Shirley snaps. The tension is clear in the air and everybody has confused looks. "Baby, are you okay? How do you know him?" He pulls Shirley closer to him, ditching the controller he still had in his hands. "Nothing special. He is just my first boyfriend from high school who cheated on me. Nothing to worry about." Everybody looks uneasy, Roxy being the uneasiest of them all. "So, dinner is ready. We should take place at the table!" Harry cuts the silence. Louis gives him a thankful look and kisses his cheek before moving to the dining room. He hopes this won't be getting more awkward.

The rest of the night isn't that awkward if you ignore Shirley and Jason giving each other glances all night. Harry's food was amazing and now The friends are drinking the wine Roxy brought. They actually have a nice time. Louis is happy that Harry and Roxy get along.

"So, Louis here told me you were signed to a record label. How is that working out for you?" Roxy asks. Harry smiles but it's not reaching his eyes 100%.

"It's amazing that I'm getting a chance like this. I've dreamed my whole life about this. I couldn't have done it without Lou, though. He helped me writing some songs during the last month and he helped me selecting the best ones." Harry says holding Louis hand.

"That's cute! I remember Louis can sing from karaoke nights in the hotel, but I didn't know he could write." The curly girl says. "He can. He wrote me some songs. They are amazing. I think he is even more talented than I am. He has an ear for it and he is really creative with language." Harry poches about his boyfriend.

"You are overreacting, babe. I do some writing but it's nothing major. It's not like Harry. I think THE Jeff Azoff wouldn't sign me." Louis leans his head on Harry's shoulder.

"Jeff Azoff?" Jason says, speaking for the first time. Harry nods. "He is like London's biggest homophobe. No judgement, Harry but is he fine with you and Louis dating? I remember a friend of mine was invited by him as well, you know Julia. The girl who used to be our lead singer." Jason says towards Roxy. Roxy nods and Harry's heart is beating like crazy. He doesn't want the conversation to go there.

"Oh yeah, I remember! Julia was dating a girl. She could sign with him but she had to break up with her girlfriend or get a beard or something. God that was such a drama. Poor Clara when Julia dumped her because of that homophobic asshole. In the end she only recorder one album that got barely sold and Clara didn't want to see her again. Didn't she..." Roxy doesn't finish the sentence.

"She tried. That asshole took everything away from her. Look, Harry. I'm happy you get a chance like that but just take care okay?" Jason warns.

Harry looks next to him. Louis is paler then ever and he doesn't say a word. Harry takes his hand again and starts to speak. He has to lie so Louis feels better again.

"Maybe your friend wasn't so lucky. Jeff is alright that I'm with Louis. He doesn't mind it. Nothing will come between us. There is no one who can break us. I won't let any record label take him away from me. I can't imagine my life without this little one." Harry pulls Louis from his chair and puts the smaller boy on his lap.

"I love him too much. I would never let him go." He strikes Louis' back and he feels the boy starting to relax. He gives him a small peck and it makes Louis smile.

Louis believes Harry. The words he is saying arecalming him down and it makes him trust the curly lad even more then he didbefore. Nothing could come between them. Ever.
