"Riri" someone whispered, waking me up from my sleep

"What" I asked yawning, and rubbing the tired out my eyes

"Answer and say I'm sleep" Melo said as he tried handing me his ringing phone

"What" I asked

"Answer and say I'm sleep" he said. I looked at the caller ID and saw it was LaVar

"Man, what the fuck. I was sleeping" I said

"Maribel just answer and say I'm sleep" he said. I sucked my teeth and snatched the phone out his hand

"Hello" I asked as I answered the phone

"HEYYY!! WASSUP WASSUP" LaVar yelled through the phone, I moved the phone away from my ear and let him yell/ramble for a second

"Hey Lavar, how you doing" I asked

"I'm doing good. How you been" he asked

"Good, good" I said

"So, where Melo Dip at" he asked. I looked over at Melo who was staring at me with puppy dog eyes. I let out a huff before responding

"He's sleep" I lied

"Ah, man. Well, tell him I said to call me when he wakes up" LaVar said

"Will do" I said

"Alright, well I'll talk to ya later" he said

"Aight, bye" I said before hanging up. I through the phone at Melo and slapped him in the chest

"What the fuck is wrong witchu" I said

"Mmcht, man why you hitting me" Melo said

"Why the fuck are you waking me up cuz you too fucking scared to talk to yo damn daddy. You got me hot. Why would you even wake me up for that instead of just ignoring his call? That don't even make no sense, LaMelo" I said

"My fault" Melo said

"Well, no shit. Who else's fault would it be" I said sarcastically

"I'm sorry" he said

"Why won't you just talk to him" I asked

"Ion feel like dealing with him yelling at me. I'm a grown man a-" I cut him off before he could finish

"You a grown man? Really? Then act like one and stop avoiding your problems" I said. I got up and went downstairs an started making breakfast for Melo and Ben

"Mommy" Ben said, hugging my leg

"Hi bubba. You just woke up" I asked

"Yea" he said, sitting down at the island in the kitchen. I put a plate of strawberries and waffles in front of him

"Thank you, mommy" he said

"You're welcome" I replied. Melo walked in and ate a strawberry off Ben's plate

"HEY" Ben said as he shot him a death glare

"Sharing is caring" Melo replied

"Do I get breakfast" Melo asked. I took the waffles out and put strawberries on his plate before handing it to him

"Thank you mamas" he said. I turned away from him and starting washing dishes

"You not talking to me today" Melo asked

"I aint say dat" I said

"You aint say nothing else either" he said

"There's nothing to say" I said, shrugging my shoulders
