chapter three

noah's pov
I hated this so much, especially meeting new people. As much as I was used to it I could never feel like I wasn't being used, for... you know, fame and just a few more followers on Instagram. It was hard to find true friends and I was quite shy because of that but I knew I would be living here for a while so I might as well get familiar with the neighbourhood. While I was having a million thoughts whizzing round my head I felt a tap on my shoulder, I turned around but it was only Chloe.
"NOAH! NOAH! Finally u have stopped daydreaming, I'm gonna go grab a drink I'll meet you over there"
She pointed to the kids and walked into the kitchen.
I walked over as everyone was chatting loudly and said hi but then I saw this girl turn around, we locked eyes for what felt like minutes and awkwardly looked away, she was beautiful, who is she? I needed to get to know her.

y/n pov
I could hear footsteps coming up from behind us and just as I turned around I knew it, I was right. Noah. I couldn't look away but had to otherwise it would make things awkward on our first day of knowing each other. He looked nervous when he said hi so I smiled and Miles and Tia said hey to him. I looked at him and tapped the ground next to me for him to sit down, how and why was I being so bold with my celebrity crush. I needed to act clueless, like I didn't know who the hell he was. I held out my hand, what was I doing??
"Hi my names y/n, I heard your new here! What's your name?" I said as I shook his hand and glared into his glowing hazel eyes.
"Oh yeah um it's Noah" he said whilst turning red, he was so nervous but why.
"You okay? Is anything wrong we can go inside if you don't want to be in a crowd of people I get it, it's hard when your new and overwhelmed an-"
He cut me off.
"Oh I'm sorry for being so weird but sure we can go inside if you want" he said trying to act normal, seriously what is up with this kid, am I being too pushy? I mean that was probably the reason but what else do I do when my crush who didn't even know I existed walks in out of nowhere.
"Okay come on then" I said to him while getting up, " Um guys we will be back in a second I'm just gonna show Noah around"
Lila gave me a glance and giggled, yeah we didn't talk much anymore but she knew me well enough to notice the sparkle of excitement in my eye, was I being too obvious?

noah's pov
Well shit, trust me to mess up while having our first conversation, she was so confident and she didn't know who I was which made me calm around her. I felt like a ton of people were staring at me but even from a few minutes around her she was being so friendly and kind. I followed her to the lounge of Mr and Mrs Havens house they were right next door to me and had been really welcoming so far. We sat on the two couches and started to talk. It was small talk but I didn't care, as long and I got to know her, I was happy.

y/n pov
"Soooo, why did you move here?" I said trying to make as much conversation as possible.
"You don't know do you?" He laughed and looked at me as if I was hiding something.
"Know what?" I questioned trying to act like I knew nothing about him, like I didn't know his birthday and everything about him already.
"Me haha, Stranger Things, all of that. It got too much where I lived before, I would wake up to people outside my house asking for autographs and pictures when I would just want to visit my friends, my address got leaked online so we had to move and this is where my parents thought looked good"
"Oh I knew I just didn't think you would want another person talking to you like your not a normal human being, in fact I wasn't going to come here tonight as I was going to watch season 3, also that's super weird, I don't understand how people can get that invasive!"
"Wait really that's crazy! Also thanks for not treating me differently though, I feel like that's all that happens, it sucks to know people only want to talk because I have been in a show or I could get them a few more followers"
"It really does suck"
We sat there for hours talking and without realising it was 1 am, everyone was still partying so I hadn't even noticed but I didn't mind, being here with Noah was all I had ever wanted. He looked over at me and asked if I wanted to watch anything on the tv so he started flicking through the channels and going on his phone in between clicking the buttons. I saw a notification from instagram at the top of my phone pop up.
