The sun creeps into my room the next morning. I roll over to my alarm and hit snooze. This is going to be another long day, I think. My stomach growls in pain when I sit up. I get up and change into a fresh set of clothes that Nathalie must've laid out during the night.

I change into a black shirt, with a white collared shirt, blue jeans and father's signature neon orange sneakers. I stand in front of the mirror. I lift up my shirt and look at my stomach. I'm skinny as hell, and I can see my ribs poking out. I squeeze at my remaining fat. There's not much left.

I almost stumble down the stairs on my way down to breakfast. My backpack rests on my shoulders. Just carrying that thing around makes me want to pass out. I sit down at the table already exhausted. I poke at the eggs and strawberries on my plate. "Adrien, are you ready to go?" Nathalie asks when she walks into the dining room.

"Yes," I reply.

I leave my uneaten breakfast on the table. I stand up and push my chair in. A wave of dizziness crashes over me. "Adrien are you okay?" Nathalie asks anxiously.

I press my hand to my head. "I'm fine," I lie.

In the car, my head starts to hurt. When I get to school I'm going to take an aspirin. I think as I stare out the window. I keep aspirin in my locker and no one knows.

The car pulls up to the school. I get out and close the door. Nino stands on the school steps talking to Alya. Before I know; Marinette is stumbling and running toward Alya.

"Girl, did you oversleep? Again?" Alya asks pushing her glasses up her nose.

"Well... I did. But I had to do homework last night so I didn't go to bed until two hours later." Marinette says in a sleepy tone.

"Hi Nino, Alya. Hi Marinette," I say with a shy wave.

"Hey man. What's up?" Nino asks as I walk up the steps.

"Nothing really. What are you guys doing?" I ask.

"Waiting for the bell to ring," Alya says.

Before I can say anything, Chloe comes running towards me squealing.

"Adrikins! There you are! How are you?" Chloe rambles. Chloe greets me by kissing me on the cheeks.

"H-hi Chloe, I'm fine," I stutter.

The truth is; I'm dying on the inside.

I pull Chloe's hands off of me. I glance over my shoulder. Marinette's jaw is hanging open. She closes it when I look at her. The bell rings. I sigh and trudge up the stairs to meet my doom.
