It had been about three weeks since I accept the offer of becoming part of the pack. When I say I became a part of the pack, what it really means is I help out when needed. Since I'm still only a hybrid and shapeshifting into a wolf is only a self-preservation thing. Sam has said I'm not required to patrol or put myself in harm's way, Sam just thought it would be best if I was accepted into the pack mainly to protect me. Which I happy with, and it makes Paul more relaxed about things knowing I'm not going to get hurt. Today was the day, today was Christmas! I was super excited about today. Normally when I celebrated Christmas with my family it would usually consist of exchanging presents before mum would make a small Christmas lunch for me, before we spend the day playing various board games. But not this Christmas.
This year I was spending Christmas with Emily and her family the Clearwater's. Paul and Sam were also coming along, because Paul only really had his dad and Sam had his parents but he'd rather spend Christmas with his Fiancée. I slowly rolled myself out of bed and began making my way to my wardrobe, when something white outside my window caught my attention. I quickly walked over to my window to see that snow was falling, making me smile. After a moment of watching the snow fall, I decided it was best got ready for the day. Since it was Christmas and in a festive mood I decided to wear a pair of light wash blue skinny jeans, white long sleeve t-shirt, red and white knitted 'ugly' Christmas jumper and a pair of black flat ankle boots. I then grabbed a nude coloured silk bra and a pair of navy blue silk panties with black lace detailing, before going into the bathroom to do my usual routine.
Once I was done in the bathroom, I went back into my bedroom to put on my jewellery. I then grabbed my phone off charge and my black Guess clutch from my wardrobe, and headed down stairs where I found Paul, Emily and Sam. "Merry Christmas" I smiled as I entered the living area, where they were gathered around the large Christmas tree Paul and Sam had brought a little over a week ago. "Merry Christmas, Daisy" Emily beamed as she gave me a tight hug, which I happily returned. "So, before we go over to the Clearwater's we've decided to exchange our gifts" Emily said as she released me from the hug, "sounds good to me" I said as Paul pulled me down onto his lap in front of the tree and placed a gentle kiss on my lips. "Merry Christmas, baby" Paul grinned after I slowly pulled away from the kiss, "Merry Christmas, Handsome" I smiled before turning around to face Emily and Sam. Who had also pulled Emily onto his lap.
"Em, why don't you give Daisy the gift you got her first" Sam said and his fiancée nodded as she leaned forward to grab a small, neatly wrapped gift from under the tree. "So, when I saw this I instantly thought this would be perfect for Daisy" Emily explained as she handed me the gift. I slowly unwrapped the sparkly red wrapping paper to find a small box, and inside the box was a small snow flake charm. "Oh my god. Emily I love it thank you" I beamed as I removed my bracelet from my wrist and slipped the new charm on beside my family crest charm and the silver wolf charm Paul gave me. Just as I was about to put my bracelet back on my wrist I was stopped "open my present before you put your bracelet back on" Sam said as he handed me another small present just like Emily's, but this one wasn't as neatly wrapped. I gently removed the paper a lid from the box to find another charm but this time it was a charm of the tattoo that he, Jared and Paul have on their shoulder. The tattoo was a representation of their commitment to protecting the Quileute tribe and the people of Forks, it also represents their connection to the pack. "Sam, I don't know what to say" I said quietly as I gently played with the charm in my hand, "well, I remember you said you weren't going to get the tattoo because you felt like you were disrespecting our history and culture. So, I got a charm made for you. You may not be a true wolf but you are part of this pack" Sam said and I felt the tears building in my eyes.
I quickly jumped off Paul's lap and wrapped my arms around Sam's neck, giving him a tight hug. "Thank you" I whispered "You're welcome, Dais" Sam chuckled as I went back and sat in Paul's lap, and he wrapped his arms around my waist as I put the charm on my bracelet before putting it back on my wrist. "Okay, since you and Sam gave me my gifts. It's only fair I give you two your gifts" I grinned as I crawled forward to grab the two presents, and handed them to their respected person. Emily opened her present first causing her to gasp and then laugh when she removed the paper, "a baking book. Thanks Dais. I love it" Emily smiled. "Open it. I put something else in there" I grinned and she opened it to the middle and her mouth fell open, "Dais. This is too much" Emily sputtered as she took the silver pearl Pandora bracelet with sea related charms attached.
"Emily, you've allowed me to live in your house for the past three weeks. You deal with Paul and Jared every day and god knows how long it will be before I leave. You deserve this" I smiled. "Thank you, Dais. I love it" Emily smiled as she placed the bracelet on her wrist. Sam then opened his gift which was mostly just for laughs. As soon as he removed the paper he burst out laughing "how to control Teen Wolves'. Thanks Dais, I may need this one day" he chuckled, "I thought it would help" I laughed. Next Sam and Emily exchanged gifts, they also gave Paul his and his to them. Finally, it was time for Paul and I to exchange gifts. "I'll go first" I beamed as I once again leaned forward to grab the neatly wrapped present and handed it over. "It's not a 'how not to be a hot head' book, is it?" Paul asked causing me, Emily and Sam to laugh, "it might be" I giggled.
Paul quickly removed the paper from the box and he quickly opened the lid to reveal a black IWC Schaffhausen watch I brought when I brought Emily's present. "I love it babe, thanks" Paul beamed as he placed a gentle kiss on my lips, "you're welcome" I smiled as Paul put the watch on his wrist. "So, you told me not to get you anything to big or expensive. So, I didn't" Paul said and I lightly laughed as he handed me a roughly wrapped present. I quickly removed the paper and opened the tiny box to find another charm, but this one was a moon charm. "I love it. Thank you" I beamed as I once again removed my bracelet and added the charm, before once again putting it back on my wrist. "Alright, now that all gifts have been given. Time to go to the Clearwater's" Sam said as he got up from the ground, helping Emily up as well. Paul did the same thing with me, and we all headed over to the Clearwater's.
Littledid I know, this was going to be a Christmas I was never going to forget.
