1. Derek Jeter
Derek deserves the number 1 spot because of his respect for baseball. His is the best shortstop to ever play the game. Derek was a 14 time all star. He won 5 World Series championships. Derek Jeter won World Series MVP and Rookie of the year in 1996. He has 5 Gold Glove awards and 5 Silver Slugger awards. Derek is a 2 time Hank Aaron award recipient. He also has a Roberto Clemente award an Yankees team captain award. We will never see anyone more respectful and amazing than Derek Jeter.
2. Ernie banks
Ernie Banks is one of the most well know shortstops in the MLB. He played for the Chicago Cubs from 1963-1971. Ernie died in January this year. So to pay my respects I put him as number 2 on the list. He was a 14 time all star. Ernie Banks won the NL NVP not once but, twice.
3. Honus Wagner
If you are a baseball freak you probably know this next player. His name is Honus Wagner. Honus Wagner is famous for his $2.1 million baseball card.
