My One And Only - A Daminette Story

Chapter 1

A few days prior...

"Father please, let me go to Paris" a boy with dark hair and deep emerald eyes pleaded.

"But why do you need to go Damian?" Bruce Wayne questioned, not in a harsh way but still quite sternly.

"I have to see if the rumors are true" he replied. "Paris could be under attack right now and we could never tell!"

Bruce sighed. "If they were in such dire need then they would have sent a message by now"

"They might have already. It could've been ignored, not taken seriously and how do we know the message hasn't been intercepted by the one committing the crimes?"

Bruce sighed again, his youngest son had a point. "Fine, I'll allow it but only for the purpose of this investigation". He saw a small smile appear on Damian's face. Though it was only small, Bruce knew that would be the biggest smile he would get from him. "But how long do you plan on staying there?". He asked

The smile disappeared and the boy placed a finger on his chin, to mimic that he was thinking about the question just asked, even though he had been planning this for quite some time now. "Three to four weeks perhaps?"

"No" Bruce's reply was quick, there was no way Damian would be alone by himself for that long in another country, his absence would also be noticed by some in Gotham. "That amount of time is too long for comfort" he stated simply. "One week"

"I won't be able to learn anything in just a single week" Damian argued, "Two weeks"

"Fine" he knew that the boy wouldn't take one week as an answer. "You can leave tomorrow as it's the earliest flight to Paris, I'll book a hotel room for you. Le Grand Paris?" He suggested a hotel.

"I'll be able to get information and a clear view of the city" Damian half mumbled to himself. "Yes that would be appreciated"

"Fine, start packing. I'll tell the rest where you're going" Bruce then left the room, leaving Damian to his own devices.

"Watch out Paris, a new superhero's coming to town"

Don't mind me just chillin down here. So ik it's short but I guess this is kinda like a prologue if yanno what I mean. Btw I'm writing chapters on something else before I upload them on here and as of the moment, I'm currently writing chap 6 so :D
