Walking home from the grocery store I get a text.
"Where are you!? I told you not to leave when it's dark out"
"I went to the store to get food. I'm on my way home now. I'm fine don't worry." I reply back. He's always so protective when I leave. I got plenty of food that should last for a good amount of time. Using my quirk I carry all the bags next to me.
I can control things with my mind. I have my limits like lifting up big objects or to many objects really puts a strain on me and I get really bad headaches. So I try not to move vehicles etc. the headaches normally last about a day. So I'm not that useful when I have one. I use my quirk a lot to help strengthen it. Most of the time I get yelled at if I go out during the day and I'm carrying bags like this. Not my fault people don't look where they're going.
Just outside of the city is where we have a house. It's nice to be away from all the crazy stuff, but at the same time it sucks because I have to walk everywhere. So walking to the store is about a 2 mile walk. It's 6:39 now. I have to make one stop to pick something up it's on the way home so it's not out of the way. I walk up to the small shop and push the door open. A little bell rings and I open it.
"Ah Mrs.Todoroki out late again I see. I was just getting ready to close. What can I get you today?" The lady behind the counter says smiling at me.
"Can I get 2 vanilla cupcakes. Oh and a red velvet oh too!" I say scanning the display case then looks up at her an smiles.
"Sure thing! I'll be right back." She says with a smile and leaves to go out back. The bell rings again.
"Man it's raining like cats and dogs out there." A man says. This makes me turn around to look out the windows.
"Oh wow it really is. It must have just started when I got here." I say now looking over at the man.
Wait is that the hero hawks? I examine him closer. Yep that's him. It's funny I've never really seen him up close. Not bad looking but nothing to be going crazy over. Definitely not my type.
"Here we are. 3 cupcakes awaiting to be eaten." She comes holding a little box.
"Hero Hawks. What a pleasure to have you in my shop. Let me just finish up here. Please have a look at the display case and let me know when you're ready." She says with a big smile. He nods and goes over to the case.
"Thank you." I say giving her the proper amount. I take the box and prepare myself for the rain. All the groceries are going to get wet. I'll have to hurry home fast. I tie up all the bags so it stops the rain from going in them for the most part.
"Would you like some help with those? That's a lot of bags to carry in this weather. Especially a beautiful woman of your size. " Hawks says from behind me. The word beautiful made my eyes go wide. Is he really doing this right here?
"Oh. No thank you I got it." I say tying the last bag and standing up. I pull my long curly blonde hair up in a ponytail and pull my hood up. I pick up my bags using my quirk and carry the box in my hands. I turn around and look at the nice lady at the counter. Both her and Hawks stare at me blankly.
"Thank you again!" I say with a big smile and make my way out the door to head home. As I'm walking I notice that the rain has stopped above me but not everywhere else.
"What the heck?" I look up and see red feathers.
"I figured I'd at least help keep you and your groceries dry if you're not letting me help carry them." Hawks say with a smile now landing on the ground next to me but keeping his wing over me.
