(Y/n) groaned and flopped on their couch. After a long while of being chewed out by Kunikida and having to do three hours of paperwork, they just wanted to sleep. They looked around at their apartment and sighed...
Back at the ADA Atsushi was sitting at his desk confused. (Y/n) left early after the paperwork and getting yelled at. It was relatively early on in the day and they seemed stressed.
"H-hey... Kunikida don't you think you were a little hard on them?" Atsushi asked, Kunikida looked up from his papers slightly confused.
"Them?" Atsushi nodded.
"Yeah... You didn't know? They are non-binary... I noticed you were using their old pronouns... I think it stressed them out more..." The silver haired boy mumbled.
"Oh... I'll write that in my notebook," he whispered.
"If you don't mind... I'm gonna go and check on them." Kunikida nodded and continued his work. Atsushi nodded to himself and left the office...
"Hey... (Y/n)?" Atsushi knocked on his partner's door. He could hear the lock jingle as they tried to open the door.
"Hey..." Atsushi smiled lovingly at his tired partner.
"You want to cuddle?" They nodded and leaned into Atsushi, who in turn picked them up and sat them on their couch.
(Y/n) hummed and pressed their face into the pale boy's chest. He chuckled and wrapped his arms around them and started to play with their hair.
"Did Kunikida make you feel dysphoric?" Atsushi whispered, the (light/dark) haired person nodded.
"Don't worry. I told him about it okay? Don't worry, your one-hundred percent valid baby. And your my baby, I promise that I'll protect you." He whispered into their hair making them sigh in content.
"I love you Nakajimjim." They whispered with a small giggle. He groaned with slight irritation and held them closer.
"I love you too, Kitten."
