I was walking with my mother, who gave me a warm smile, warm enough to calm a blizzard. She was sweet and stern. Like a mother should be. She was wearing her sun hat she always wore when she went outside. It was tattered and had a few tiny rips. But no matter it still looked amazing with her hair. Which flowed down to her waist a dark brown and beautiful. She was in her sundress. It was white with dark green tropical leafs. I though she looked amazing, I know I've said that a lot. But she did. We walked along the cold stone pattern which burned the bottom of my feet cause I had told my mother no and that I didn't want to wear shoes that morning. "Well then, You'll regret that when we have to stop and I need to put your shoes on you!" I remember she said that with a slight giggle. Then I tugged on her dress. "Yes dear?" "My feet burn.." I said while doing a silly dance to keep my feet from burning. She picked me up and sat me on her waist. "Would you like me to put them on you?" I nodded. "Yes please." she gave a light chuckle and set on strap of her mesh bag which still smelled like Texas. Where she grew up and lived.

She took out my sandals and sat my down in the grass which was taller then me sitting down even. I was surprised when a grasshopper landed on my thigh. I wanted to get up and chase it not even knowing that my shoes were already done. She smiled. "Go on and catch em! I'm sure it will be a fun game of tag." I nodded and sprinted after it while she waited there watching the warm breeze fly her hair and dress, along with the dark green bow ends After about ten minutes I gave up and walked back to my mother where she waited patiently on that one stone step. "Ready to finish the journey?" I giggled "Of course I am!" she laughed at my upbeat reaction and grabbed my hand gently, it was warm and a lot bigger then mine. It made me feel happy.

(Not done, I was working on this. It's a very distant memory I wish I could make real again. Tell me if you want me to finish it.)
