Lexi stared gloomily out the window, the metal flap rattled and Dudley's pudgy hand slid over a bowl of two tinned soups, he grinned cruelly through the opening. Harry was sleeping on his bed not noticing that they had received their food yet.

"I know what day it is," Dudley said in a sing-song-voice.

"Well done," Lexi retorted sarcastically, "Finally learned the days of the week, have you? Took you bloody long enough."

Dudley scolded at her in anger, "Today's your birthday," he said a mad gleam in his eyes, "And nobody cares," the metal flap snapped shut and woke Harry from his slumber.

"What was that?" he asked stretching, he smelled the cold soup and bounded over, "Yummy, I was hoping for her famous tinned tomato soup..." Harry said sarcastically, he walked over towards Hedwig and Mowgli's bowls and poured some into their empty food trays, Hedwig puffed out her chest indignantly while Mowgli gave a low hoot of annoyance.

"It's no good turning your beaks up," Harry playfully scolded, "It's all we've got," he shoved two pieces of stale bread through the bars and both owls ate rather sluggishly.

Lexi was fast asleep at the table overlooking Privet Drive, a gentle tapping sound woke her from her slumber and when she opened her eyes to see what was causing the disturbance a very familiar face looked down at me.

"Ronald?" she exclaimed causing Harry to wake up instantly, she opened the window to hear Ron.

"Hiya Alexis," he said smirking at the both of us, "Hiya Harry!"

As Lexi finally got the window to fully open she noticed an old turquoise-colored Ford Anglia drifting in mid-air, Ron leaning out the back window along with his twin brothers Fred and George sitting up front of the car.

"Fred?" Harry asked, "George? What are you doing here?" he yawned loudly.

"Rescuing you two, of course," Fred said smiling broadly from the driver's seat, "Where's your trunks?"

As quick as possible Harry and Lexi shoved their stuff into their trunks avoiding overlooking anything crucial, Ron was tying a fierce knot on the bars of our window.

"Stand back!" Ron said as he turned around to nod at Fred, Fred stepped on the accelerator of the Ford and it flew up into the air and the rope snapped tight and with a loud audible -- CRUNH – the bars were torn from the window.

"We better hurry," Lexi said as Harry helped her to push her trunk into the open Ford Angelina, "Uncle Vernon might wake up!"

Harry pushed the trunk over the sill into the Anglia's boot, then he scrambled through the window himself, when Hedwig gave a rather loud -- SQUAWK – Harry whipped around as Lexi held tight to Mowgli's cage.

"THOSE BLOODY BIRDS!" Uncle Vernon roared and his heavy footsteps were heard outside the twins bedroom door.

"Hedwig!" Harry moaned and rushed over to grab hold of her cage, he was just back on the dresser when the door into their room flew wide open and Uncle Vernon saw Harry scrambling towards the open window.

"Petunia!" He roared in rage lunging forwards, "They're getting away!"

As Harry leapt for the windowsill, Uncle Vernon charged forwards and snatched at Harry getting hold of his ankle, Harry tumbled into the darkness, his one hand still clutching at Hedwig's cage, his other hand he stretched out and got hold of Ron's open hand.
