"Mujhse kabhi khafa na hona
Ae mere sukun-e-kalb,
Tere bina ye meri zindagi
Ka har lamha bilkul
Adhura hai...Mujhse dur kabhi na hona
Ae meri Qamar-al-lail,
Tere bina meri mohobbat ka
Aasma siya hai..."(Never get angry with me
My peace of heart,
Without you each moment
Of my life is incomplete...Never go away from me
My moom of night,
Without you the sky of
My love Is dark...)-Mushaid Shaikh.

"Try to understand Sir, if we delay the surgery it'll only increase the complication and then it'll be very hard to save your wife too." The doctor tries to make him understand but the man is unable to take any decision. If he agrees for the surgery his wife will be safe but the chances of his baby surviving is only ten percent. But if he delays the surgery then maybe his child will survive but the life of his wife will be at a greater risk. His wife took promise from him not to harm their baby even if he needs to risk her life. But how can he when she is his everything. He can have another baby but he can never replace his wife with someone else if anything happens to her. Half-heartedly he agrees to the surgery.
Later on, he gets the news of his baby boy who is kept in the NICU as he was a premature child but he is happy to know that his wife is safe and sound.

"Is my jaan free to talk to me?" Shahid asks as soon as Sidhra receives his call.
"Yes." She replies in a tired voice resting her head on her chair with closed eyes.
"Are they fine?" He asks in a low voice.
"Alhamdulillah both the mother and her child are safe and sound. The baby is in the NICU but I'm sure he'll be alright. This is the first time I've witnessed a man crying and begging to Allah so much." Sidhra replies remembering the husband of her patient whom she operated half an hour ago.
"Thank God everything went alright. So Dr Sidhra Khan can you please accompany me for a dinner date tonight?" He asks in a playful tone.
"Umm... Let me think...
Umm... Mr Khan actually I need to ask my husband first, only if he agrees..." Sidhra replies in the same tone."Oh don't worry about him dear, I'll bring him along, that hardworking man too needs a break from his tiring work." Shahid says in a sad tone.
"Hardworking man, tiring work, really Sha? Getting up around 10 and on top of that taking 2 long breaks in between your so called tiring work which ends at 8." Sidhra gets annoyed.
"Come on jaan who takes care of our little ones when you are all tired and worn out. And I can go to my work any time I will after all it's my own company at least half of it and it's the fruit of my hard work." Shahid replies proudly.
"Fine enough of your self praising. I'll be ready tonight. Allahhafiz." They then disconnects the call.
It's been eight years to their marriage. Sidhra has completed her medical course and now she is a successful doctor in a well known hospital. As for Shahid he too completed his master's in pharmacy and now he and AbdulHadi has started their own pharmaceutical company.
Life isn't all rainbows and roses for them as they under went so many problems. Sidhra was pregnant during her final year but they didn't abort the child but tackled all the problems and she passed out with flying colours. Even Shahid suffered along with her. He had to handle his own studies, his wife's mood swings, his job at the same time but they never for once regretted anything. For them their problems were the darkness before the daybreak.
