Where were you when I needed you?

Nina, please.

"LIZY! GET YOUR A** DOWN HERE NOW!" yelled her mom.

'Sh*t, what did I do now,' she thought.

Walking downstairs in her 3-year-old, heart print, pajama pants, and her cropped Caribbean t-shirt, she was contemplating what she had done to get in trouble. Once she turned the corner, her mom was standing there with her back turned and she was looking at the window. She walked up and looked out of that same window and there her dog was, eaten alive in their backyard. Eliza always knew there was a loose fence plank but it was never a big deal, nothing bigger than her dog could fit through it. Little did she know, there was another side of the fence that was loose. The animal got through and killed her dog. She immediately called the animal control and went to her room to call her dad. He was out of town at a business meeting. 

Last week, she turned 16. She was a moderately sized petite girl, with a coke bottle shape. She kept a tidy room, most of the time, and she kept good grades. She never gave her parents any trouble and she had no siblings. 

"Lizy, where were you yesterday?"

"What happened?"

"Why are your eyes puffy?" 

"My dog died."

Silence fell amongst the group. 

"Hey, homegirl! How you been?" Nina rests her arm on Eliza's shoulder.

"*Gasp* Nina! Stop that! Her dog passed. She's mourning." whispered Kennedy.

Nina is Eliza's best friend from birth. Nina is gay and that doesn't change their relationship at all.

"KK, Whatever, I know she is fine. Just let me handle it."

Nina leans over and kisses Eliza on the cheek, right next to her lip. That annoyed her as she told Nina not to make any moves on her years ago.

"What the F*CK Nina?!" she reamed.

"There she is-"

Eliza. Hit. Nina. RIGHT IN THE CHEST.

"THE HELL?!" Nina yells, gasping for air.

She gets up and gets in a fighting pose then signals to Eliza that she wants to fight. Eliza then gets up and looks Nina right in the eye.

"You don't want to fight me. You know better than anyone what I'm capable of," mumbles Eliza

"I don't give 2 f*cks what you're capable of. I've been sparing with you for years, I got this," whispered Nina

"We are on school ground Nina, just shut up and move on..." Eliza said, trying to be reasonable.

"BITCH." Nina screamed aloud and slapped Eliza.

Just after she hit her, Eliza hand-chopped Nina's neck, stunning her in immediate paralysis. Then, Eliza prepped her fighting ground and kicked Nina in the gut. Nina fell against the cement in front of everyone. She hit her head and she blacked out. Not the kind of blackout when someone passes out, but where they can't remember much after that moment. She hopped back up and rammed Eliza, then she put her into a headlock. Eliza ended up passing out and Nina threw her into the mulch. Sadly it wasn't far enough to have her entire body in it and she hit her head on the concrete.
"CRACK"
That was all anyone heard. Then, Nina spits on the unconscious girl and left. Kennedy ran over to Eliza and grabbed the handkerchief she had to wipe the spit off of her face. As she reached to wipe it, she screamed a blood-curdling scream.
