Hello and thank you for clicking on my little story! 😊💕
The story is set in the Glacier National Park.
This is just the prologue, which will introduce you to a few characters (including one of the main characters, Tyler). 🎊
The story as a whole will be BoyxBoy (but not in this chapter, like I said, it's only the beginning 😅), so, if that's not your cup of tea, please just don't read further than this and don't be mean about it, thanks!
Now, please enjoy the prologue! 💕🌸
I would love to hear about your thoughts, so, feel free to message me, comment and like! 🥺➡️

Prologue: Into the Woods
The night is cold and dark. Towering clouds are blackening the nightly sky, hiding the pale, waxing moon behind them.
The deep woods, coating the high mountain chain in a sharply jagged black dress, are strangely quiet. No gentle breeze is rustling the trees' leaves, and not a single star is gracing the nightly firmament with its shining, otherworldly presence that night. The mountain chain is laying in absolute, impenetrable dark quietness.
The huffing of the rusty, old and beaten up Toyota, which is slowly rattling its way up the serpentines of the remote mountain road, seems strangely out of place in those dense, quiet woods. The car is slow but steadily cutting its way through the thick darkness; painting small round cones of light against the black road as it climbs up into higher grounds.
The dim, small beams of light are fighting a long-lost battle against the tall, looming conifers, lining the winding road like ominous dark guardians. They suffocate the sparsely cast light, long before it could ever reveal the secrets hiding in the woods' endless depths.
The small car is barely gaining ground, loaded down with too much luggage and too many people, leaning dangerously to the side during every turn. A deep, agonized groan, located somewhere between the engine and the front axle, is protesting every time the car straightens and the young man driving it, presses down on the clutch with a heavy foot to change the gear and beat it up the mountain a little faster.
The car hits a rather deep pothole – again – and Cody's head bumps into the ceiling with a dense thudding noise.
"Geez, dude," he scowls darkly at his older brother in the driver's seat while rubbing his aching head.
"Fucking road," Tyler mutters under his breath, acknowledging Cody's comment, grip tight around the steering wheel. Yet, his eyes never leave the bit of road he can blurrily make out, sparsely illuminated by the dim, yellowish light of the headlights.
"Do you think we'll be there soon?" Haley shuffles forward in the backseat and leans in between her brothers' shoulders; thighs pressing uncomfortably against Chris's and Sarah's legs in the narrow space of the backseat.
The satnav, fixed to the front window, is black. Dead. It's lost its connection to the satellite about an hour ago – same as the radio.
Tyler shrugs.
"It'll take forever, with all these damn turns and I can barely see a foot ahead," he responses to his sister's question, brows angrily furrowed as he changes gear. His shoulders are stiff with tension.
Haley pulls her knitted cardigan closer around her body. "It's creepy out there," her eyes skit nervously over the dense, black treeline. She shudders.
"Yeah... I wish we had decided to drive during the day and not in the middle of the night," Sarah also casts an unhappy glance out the window.
"Or that at least the radio would work..." Chris on Haley's other side huffs in affirmation, arms crossed over his chest.
