ASSASSIN
A/N: This is a story i dug up from the depths of my computer... it's all in one part now but I can add more if you want... so comment :)
Moscow, Russia
“Lusia… what are you doing?” Sergey exclaimed.
I tightened my death grip around his neck and extracted a small syringe from my boot.
“You pig,” I snarled in perfect Russian. “Trafficking girls is not right. I told you to stop. You didn’t listen. You didn’t take your chance.” With that, I swiftly stabbed the syringe into his chest, directly to the heart. I may be cold, but I don’t make my clients suffer.
I fixed Sergey with an icy glare. “And just so you know? My name is Carina.” Sergey’s eyebrows contracted with what would be his last expression on Earth.
I whipped out my cell and pressed number one. I was connected right away with headquarters.
“Good day, Agent Levelle.”
“Morning, Oscar. Could you connect me with Maks, please?”
“Right away.”
As I waited for Maks to pick up, I made my way out of the hovel, knocking on doors as I went along, calling that Sergey was gone. I stepped out into the freezing street, buttoned up my black wool pea coat and slipped on my hat and sunglasses. Finally Maks connected.
“Hello, Carina. How was the mission?”
“Good. Quick and easy.”
“That’s good. Listen, I’ve got a new client ready- how soon can you be at headquarters for briefing?”
“I’ll be on a plane in an hour.”
“Excellent.”
London, England
“Agent Callevici. I have a mission for you- like no other you have had previously. Her name is Carina Levelle.”
Paris, France
I walked into Maks’ office and smiled warmly, even though all I wanted to do was crawl back to my room and pass out.
“Hello, Carina. How are you?” Maks was a small, tweedy-looking guy, but don’t let that fool you. He’s a black belt in every branch of martial arts and one of the coldest assassins in the business.
“Pretty tired.”
Maks smiled tightly from behind his wire-rimmed glasses-fakes, of course-and sat down behind his desk. I took one of the seats in front of the mahogany monster.
“This mission is very different from the others. It is like nothing you have ever done before.”
I raised my eyebrows. Although I’m only sixteen, I’m one of the most seasoned agents we have.
“Your target happens to be a reconnaissance agent that has been causing us some serious troubles lately.”
“A spy?” I interrupted. We always deal with spies. “That shouldn’t be too difficult.” Usually spies are intent on acting the hero, and they’re so focused on being invisible that they leave gaping clues behind them.
Maks wagged a finger at me. “No. This particular agent is a triple threat-spy, assassin, and a master of invisibility. Do not underestimate this case, Carina. It will be your downfall.”
I nodded.
“Now- his name is Leonardo-“
“Dicaprio?” I interjected, grinning.
