It's Christmas In A Week

We pulled away from the kiss, looked at each other and just laughed. I motioned to her that I was going to join the snowball fight. I walked over to the group with the biggest smile on my face. The boys staring at me was not a good thing. They were either going to throw snow at me constantly or annoy me, either one isn’t good. “So..” Josh wiggled his eyebrows and said as soon as I joined the group. “You and Ali” Nothing was getting rid of this smile today.

“Finally!” Jaymi exclaimed. The boys just stared at him in confusion. “What? I knew! He wouldn’t have told her or did that if I didn’t make him” He was too excited about this. The boys looked at him with quite shocked expressions.

"You knew? And didn't tell us?" Josh pretended to be heartbroken, by putting his hand on his heart. "Come on George. Let's not be associated with these peasants" We all couldn't keep straight faces and just burst into laughter. We all looked at each other and started a huge snowball fight, which resulted in us being soaking and frozen.

We all got into the house, to our surprise, the heating was on. We all kicked our shoes off by the door and walked upstairs to our individual bedrooms to get dressed into some dry clothes. I was the first one to get dressed. I decided on grey joggers and a jumper with thick socks. I hated not wearing any socks. I walked downstairs and the living room was warmer than the hall. I heard the kettle had boiled and walked into the kitchen to see what was happening in there. Stood there, making tea, hot chocolate and coffee was Alison, joggers and a hoodie. She still looked beautiful. She must have heard me come in because she looked over at me and shot me a killer smile. She walked over to me and handed me a mug of hot chocolate. I looked at it first. She had put whipped cream with tiny marshmallows and crushed up flake. Part of me wanted to warm up and the other part of me didn't want to destroy this creation.

"Drink up, you'll warm up" She obviously noticed me staring at the mug.

"But, it looks perfect" I must have sounded quite gay when I said that. Who doesn't want to warm up because you're scared you'll ruin the creation? You, obviously. I took a sip and oh, it tasted like heaven. She looked at me for approval. "This, tastes like complete and utter heaven. How do you do this?" She shrugged. "I make hot chocolate and it takes eurgh" She laughed at me. "I'm funny, am I?" I put my drink down. I had drunk half of it already.

"Funny looking" She turned on her heel and started walking away. I grabbed her around the waist and started tickling her, which made her scream. I heard Jaymi run down the stairs.

"What's happened?! Alison, is everything alright?!" He was so worried. Bless.  

"Jaymi, it's fine. I called him funny looking so he tickled me" She explained to him after I let her go."Anyway, where's our decorations? It's Christmas in a week and we don't have any decorations up" She moaned at him. She knows he's been busy, but it's Christmas. They both love Christmas, always had to have their decorations up first.

"I know, I’m one step ahead of you. Josh has gone to get a tree” He laughed. He knew it was too late, but better late than never. It looks like we’re all going to have fun putting the decorations up. “I’m going to get into some jeans” He looked at us and left the room to change.

“What is this thing with Christmas that you love so much?” It was a serious question. Her and Jaymi both loved Christmas so much. I wanted to know why. I like Christmas, just not as much as those two. She blushed as she prepared to answer my question.

“Well, me and Jaymi love Christmas as much as we do because we love the Christmas colours, the lights, the decorations and mainly, just spending time with the whole family. It’s the only time the whole family’s together. Parts of the family live in Scotland, North Wales, basically all over the UK. We barely get to see each other. Also, my parents see Jaymi as family because we’ve known each other so long, so we both got big family houses so the two families get together. It’s just nice to be together, you know?” I nodded.
