TRIGGER WARNING-  brief sexual assault in this chapter!

You sat at the edge of the brook with your toes in the water. The smell of dachids danced under your nose. They were in full bloom this time of year, and the forest was washed in beautiful lavender and gold colored flowers that blanketed the trees. You felt lucky to live here. Odessen was a beautiful planet full of life and....energy. It was almost like it fed you, and being away from it made you feel drained... lost. You had only ever traveled to another planet when you were 13. Greff. It was rocky and barren and cold. The star in that system would shine only half the year, leaving the Hijjaf Outpost dark for months at a time.  You had went with Mati to stock up on supplies for the year. Memories of its harshness washed over you.  Nothing like Odessen. Odessen was pure, full of light and warmth. It was the only time you felt peace. Something about this place... called to you. Somehow you felt stronger here... resolved...renewed. You let out a small sigh and ran your fingers through the moss.

Suddenly an overwhelming feeling of dread washed over you. Something you had never felt here before. Quickly, you rose to your feet, stumbling in the process and falling into the brook. Your white sundress soaked all the way through to your undergarments. You brushed your long wavy hair out of your face.

"Kriff!"

Even though you were alone, a wave of embarrassment washed over you as you realized you would have to walk back to your village like this, and people would see your bra. You stood out in the crowd anyway, but this would bring way too much attention to a well known fact. You were dauntingly beautiful. People instantly noticed your icy grey eyes, perfectly full lips, and wavy black hair that framed your sharp jawline and fell to your waist. You couldnt count the amount of marriage proposals you had received by the time you had turned twenty. But you had never been interested. Many of them were fine looking men, who would give you a good life, but something always held you back, and you werent sure what it was. Truth be told though, you were unaware of your beauty. You didnt consider yourself ugly by any means, but you never full understood the magnitude of your beauty. It was as if the Force molded you for the whole galaxy to admire.

The Force.

Was it real? You had heard stories of sith and jedi that fought in epic battles for control of the galaxy. Legends of old that have long since outlived their credibility. You had heard of someone that controlled the First Order that supposedly used the Force, if it was even real. Rumors of a formidable creature reeking havoc on the galaxy in the name of unlimited power. They called this creature Kylo Ren. You doubted that the rumors were true though. Not only had you never seen the face of this supposed 'Force user' , no one that you knew had ever seen him either. Most likely just a high ranking commander with a knack for killing innocents to achieve more power. Your thoughts turned again to the Force. There had always been something inside you that beckoned for recognition. Something you couldnt put your finger on. As a child, there had been an incident where you had gotten angry with Mati for not letting you have another tauntaun cookie before bed. You slammed your little fists on the table, but the cookies flew across the room and onto the ground. Mati had cupped her hand over her mouth, but said nothing more as she picked them up. It was a vague memory, but one that never made sense to you. Was that the Force? No, that was just a shaky table. Thats all. The Force was a myth.

Your thoughts were torn from you as a blast shook the ground beneath you. You stumbled again and fear gripped your heart as you heard tie fighters screech through the golden sky. The First Order.

"NO!"

You bolted into a dead sprint towards your village but it was too late. As you crested the hill, you saw and smelled smoke rising from your beautiful home.

"MATI!? MATI!"  You cried out for your grandmother as you watched storm troopers drag villagers out of their huts and blast them in the streets.

"Why are you killing them?!"

"We got another one!" echoed a storm trooper. He held his blaster straight at your head. You froze.

"Maybe she knows where it is!" he chuckled, "but likely another dead end. Pun definitely intended." The other approaching storm trooper laughed wickedly. "Just shoot her and get it over with. Although with a body like that, we might have to put you to one last use before we discard you like the outter rim trash that you are!" He reached forward and cupped one of your breasts. You gritted your teeth, but remained still while the blaster was still pointed at your head.

"What do you want?" you spat. "we have no credits if that's what you're after!"

"Stupid girl! You think The First Order gives a kriffing kriff about credits?! We want the artifact for Supreme Leader Ren!"

" What artifact?!"

"You know what, on second thought, I think we'll take you to the Supreme Leader and let him decide what to do with your lack of  compliance in his search for the artifact. This I'll enjoy watching." He spit at your chest and watched as it rolled down your chest. The trooper shoved you forward, causing you to fall to your knees. "Get up scum!" Blood rolled down your knees as you limped toward the Finalizer.

Suddenly, a strong smell entered your nose as you walked in front of the 2 troopers. Leather. Burning embers. Hades. Your eyes widened and you shuttered as a towering figure appeared in the distance. He was clad in all black from head to toe except for a glimmer of metal where there shouldve been a face. The creature was haunting. A void of anything but fear and death, and torment. Something about the way his figure moved through the smoke made your body go cold. You werent sure how you knew who this creature was, but a voice, breathy and chilling, echoed through your mind.....Kylo Ren.
