IT FELT AS THOUGH  I had been sucked down a giant drain. I was spinning violently — my ears were ringing with a deafening roar — I kept my eyes shut, just like Mrs. Weasley had instructed — I was spinning and spinning, hating every second of it — it felt as though cold hands were slapping my face — I wished it would stop, I wished so badly —

My wish was granted and I landed in the fireplace of the Leaky Cauldron, feeling queasy and lightheaded, just like I always did when I traveled by floo powder. I had never gotten used to using this method of transportation and quite frankly, I didn't know if I ever would.

I stepped out of the fireplace and brushed the soot off of myself. I hated the floo system for many reasons, the messy outcome being one of the most prominent.

"You alright?" Ron asked as I walked towards him and Hermione. Hermione looked quite nauseous and I remembered, she had never used floo powder before.

"I will be." I managed, just moments before my brain seemed to be pounding in my skull. I rubbed my forehead with my hand, groaning in pain. I had always gotten the worst headaches after using the floo. "Are you okay, Hermione?"

"That was awful." she mumbled, just as Mr. and Mrs. Weasley came out of the fireplace.

The Weasley parents walked over to the landlord, Tom, brushing the soot off of their clothing as they went. My parents had told me plenty of good things about Tom.

Ron, Hermione, and I set our stuff down and followed them to the bar.

"Molly and Arthur Weasley." the landlord smiled. "What can I do for you both?"

"We need rooms, just for tonight." Mrs. Weasley smiled tiredly. It was obvious that she hadn't gotten much sleep with the storm.

"Of course, of course." he kindly replied. "How big is your party?"

Mrs. Weasley turned and counted all of us, then counted herself and Mr. Weasley.

"We have nine." she answered.

"You're lucky, we have just enough rooms to keep two to three to a room. Is that alright?"

"That's perfect, thank you." Mr. Weasley smiled. He had paid for our rooms, then dove into a discussion about room arrangements with Mrs. Weasley. The three of us walked back to where the twins, Percy, and Ginny were standing, waiting for our room numbers.

At last, the two parents walked back over to us. They gave Fred and George their room number and then turned to the remaining children.
