Chapter Four

Brie sat in her office thinking of what happened earlier. Marco wanted to be with her. He knocked out her ex twice and told him to stay away because he was her boyfriend now and she was his girlfriend. She still could hear his voice in her head calling her names. It was something she couldn't get past no matter how hard she tried.

Marco and Trisha sat at the coffee shop after kicking Trevor out the door.

"I'm sorry bro," Trisha said.

"I should have known it wouldn't be that easy," Marco said.

"I've told her over and over that you have changed and gotten more mature and you have been in love with her for a long time but she can't get over the names you called her," Trisha said.

"I will forever regret calling her those names," Marco said.

"But then you blamed her and their family for Mom's death," Trisha said.

"Oh god that's my biggest regret," Marco said.

"I've tried everything, bro, I'm sorry, I'm still on your side and she is my best friend," Trisha said.

"I am not going to give up, I can't, she's the one for me, I came back to win her heart and build a future with her," Marco said.

"It won't be easy, bro, she's been hurt bad," Trisha said.

"I could kill that asshole," Marco said.

"You should have, I can get it done, I know some people," Trisha said.

"Sis, don't risk going to prison, karma is a bitch, I know because it's biting me in my ass right now, for all the things I said to her, now I can't be with the woman I love because she can't let go of the past and that's on me," Marco said.

"I'm glad you are home, I missed you and so did Dad," Trisha said.

"I missed you guys too," Marco said.

"Hey you two," Daniel said.

"Hi Daddy," Trisha said.

"Hey Dad," Marco said.

"What's going on?" Daniel asked. He sits down at the table and they told him what was going on.

"I'll have a talk with his father, he needs to reign in that boy," Daniel said.

"I want to be with her, Dad, I just need to find away to prove to her that I'm not the same guy, that I love her," Marco said.

"I have an idea," Daniel said.

"What's the plan, Daddy," Trisha said. Daniel told them the plan and they both smiled and talked about it.

"Before you get started on the plan, there is something you should know," Daniel said.

"What is it, Dad?" Marco asked.

"Daddy?" Trisha said.

"This is so hard to say, I never meant to hurt you both," Daniel said.

"Dad, just tell us," Marco said.

"It's my fault that your mother died in that car crash with Mary," Daniel said.

"How?" Trisha asked.

"I had an affair, and your mom found out and told Mary and she was leaving me," Daniel said.

"Daddy?" Trisha asked.

"Who did you have an affair with?" Marco asked.

"I never meant for it to happen and neither did she, it just happened, after your mom found out, she told Mary and they left and I ended the affair and put it in the past," Daniel said.

"Daddy, who was the other woman?" Trisha asked. Daniel looked up at them with tears in his eyes. They looked at him.

"Daddy, no," Trisha said.

"Dad, please tell us it's not true," Marco said.

"It was Brie?" Trisha asked.

"You had an affair with her?" Marco asked. Daniel looked at them and looked at the table and nodded slowly.
