dae-young was completely shocked.

kang soo-ah?

it all started as any other day for dae-young. he was forever getting paid to do people favours, no matter how big or small it was. everything was fine until it happened.

hong dae-young had happened to be nearby the lake when suddenly two bodies had fallen from a bridge and straight into the lake. dae-young being the hero he was, dove in, saving the lives of both the student and teacher who had fallen into the lake.

he felt proud of himself and a sense of happiness. well that was until he realised who he had saved.

that teacher, she wasn't just anyone, that was kang soo-ah. the girl who completely broke the heart of hong dae-young 9 years ago.

if only dae-young knew how much this moment would change his life from now on.

everyone except one person. oh se-ho.

se-ho was another part of dae-youngs past that he wanted to forget but after saving kang soo-ah, that wasn't going to be possible.

se-ho was mad. not just because the schools reputation was on the line but because she was saved by him.

"why hong dae-young of all people? why is it always him?!"

the man furiously yelled to himself as he wiped his table clean, sending the papers to the floor.

his heavy breaths were heard throughout the room before the door opened revealing an old, chic, well-dressed looking woman.

his mother.

"mom..."

the boy commenced before being cut of by his mother's cold gaze.

"what do you think your doing? the school is currently a mess because of this incident, what are you going to do about this?"

his mother calmly stated her voice sharp and clear as the man felt a shiver run down his spine.

"i-"

"forget it. i never excepted much from you anyways, as always, this all you can do, stand there, useless."

his mother spat, cutting the boy off.

"didn't the man who saved them attend here, let's see, what's his name? hong....hong dae-young? that troublemaker who hurt you?"

his mother scoffed laughing at the mention of the younger man.

"get him to enroll back into school and graduate, think of this as giving him a 'second chance', if necessary enroll another high school dropout, that'll make the public shut up."

his mother spat out at the boy once again before exiting the room, the sound of her heels clicking becoming fainter.

if only they knew, how much they'd regret the decision they made that night.

with hong dae-young coming back, nobody knew what could happen.
