Craving Him

Chapter 1

Beep! Beep! Beep! I lean over and hit the Snooze button on my phone trying to get some more sleep but I know I have to get up. I move my body up so that I am resting on my elbows and as the sun shines through my window, Im now aware that I have to go to work. Honestly on a day like this I would rather be laying on the beach with my feet in the sand with my friends having a cold drink in my hand but I have to pay my part of the rent some how so that fantasy is over fast. I slowly make my way out of my bed and and I walk over to my dresser and open the first drawer and pull some socks out and slip them on. Then I then make my way slowly out to the kitchen where I find my friends Kayla and Rachel who happen to live with me. I have known these two two since 8th grade when we were all in the same class. When I walk in the kitchen the two of them are talking about the end of summer sale at forever 21 and how they want to blow their paychecks on high wasted shorts and necklaces.

"Hey Kaitlyn." Kayla says with a huge smile

"Hey kate! How was your sleep." Rachel asks

"Hey good morning.. It was good Rach but what would be better if I didn't have to work. I so wish I was 12 again when I could sleep in and not have responsibilities."

I pour my self a cup of coffee from the pot and grab the creamer off the top self of the fridge and I hold it up and shake it noticing that my friends have been using my creamer and not asking.

"Hmmm... I wonder who has been using my coffee creamer.." I mysteriously question outloud

The Kayla and Rachel both put there heads down into their mugs and start laughing knowing that their guilty. I just shut the fridge and then grab my coffee and join them at the table.

"Ben bought some pastry's from the bakery down the street you like this morning before he left, if your hungry Kate." Rachel says with a small smirk on her face probley thinking about What her and Ben did last night.

"Yeah and I'm sure he only did that because you gave him some of your goodies last night" Kayla says and then laughs .

We all burst into laughter and Rachel's face turns deep red knowing Kayla is right. Ben and Rachel have always fooled around and had fun but they have never made their relationship serious and plus Rachel and Ben are not really the dating type's.

"Well at least she has someone that interested in her, Im always so busy with work That I cant even go out and meet a guy. An on top of that I haven't been with anyone on a serious level since Christopher." I say with aggravation in my voice.

"Jesus Kaitlyn that was like a year ago." Kayla says

"Yeah but we all know they have still been seeing each even after everything that asshole had put her though." Rachel states harshly.

"Yeah but we haven't seen each other or done anything in awhile besides I haven't talked to Him in 2 weeks. I don't like knowing he just uses me for sex and every time I do see him I start thinking crazy things like we could back together and other stuff." I state

"I just think you need to start of fresh thats it." Kayla says.

"Well we need to go out and do something because we haven't been out in forever." Rachel states.

"Well speaking of that theres a new bar downtown that just opened up thats really nice." Kayla says.

"Yes lets do it! plus that will give me a excuse to wear my new clothes I just bought." I say

"Hey can I borrow that tight black dress u have?!" Kayla asks

"Yes Kay you can. Okay so I guess its a date but I have to go get ready for work because I'm going to be late!" I say

I get up an wash my cup out and grab a pastry and head for my room as a I take a bite of the pastry before I leave the room I stop in the doorway.

"Hmm you were right rach the muffins are good." I say and wink at her and they both start laughing.

When I get to my room I go through my clothes looking for something to wear but I cant seem to find anything so I pull down my long sleeve Burgundy blouse and a long black pencil skirt. I grab my black stilettos and with the red bottoms on the floor which were a Valentines Day gift from Chris when we were dating and slip them on and then I run to the bathroom to apply a quick coat of make up and straighten my hair so I can look at least half decent for the day. When I finally get to work I'm only 5 minutes late because I stopped to get coffee.

I work for magazine agency and I'm the secretary of the head manager Mr.White. I landed this job two summers ago from my senior history teacher Mrs.White his wife. My best friends got into the local university, Kayla for photography and Rachel got in for education of children. Since we were all going in the city after we graduated we thats when we decided to get a place all together.
