Chapter 3

Noel and Dara finished dinner. They had a really great time. The conversation flowed perfectly and Dara didn't want the night to end.

"Hey Um Dara, do you want to come back to mine?" Noel questioned.

"Yeah sure, that sounds good." Dara smiled, she thinks she could be really good friends with Noel.

They got back into Noel's car and started the short drive to his house. They sang loudly to the Beatles the whole way, Dara noticed Noel had a really good voice and wondered if he was the singer in his band. She needed to ask Noel more about his band, she thought to herself.

"Here we are," Noel smiled while pulling into the driveway.

Dara's mouth dropped slightly in shock. She didn't expect Noel to have such a nice house. She wasn't short of money being Damon Albarn's sister and all, and she had been to a lot of nice houses but this was beautiful. It was old in an elegant way.

"Wow it's nice" She complimented.

"Thanks" Noel smiled.

They briskly walked inside trying to avoid the cold biting at their faces, Dara was hit with instant warmth as she entered Noel's home.

"Ah, shit" Noel sighed.

"Are you ok?" Dara questioned slightly concerned.

"Yeah it's alrigh, it's just my brother's home, he is a massive cunt."

"Who are you calling a cunt Noely" a man with John Lennon looking hair, and striking blue eyes questioned as he swaggered into the room. The man oozed confidence he was the most amazing person Dara had ever seen, she couldn't take her eyes off him.

"Liam your nose" Noel angrily whispered, making eyes at Liam's white covered nose.

"Shit sorry, what's your name anyway," Liam slurred staring at Dara with big blue eyes.

Dara was snapped out of her trance. This man was clearly as high but she couldn't shake off what she was feeling.

"I'm D-Dara" she stumbled feeling nervous under his gaze.

"Are you sure love?" Liam chuckled.

Dara felt flustered by his words.

"Oi, don't be a dick" Noel scolded.

Liam was about to fire back when a half-naked girl ran down the stairs, "fucks sake Katie! I told you I'd be back, keep your legs closed" Liam said sternly.

"You're taking too long, I want you now!" She whined.

Dara cringed at her high-pitched voice and the chaos erupting around her. Noel noticed Dara's uncomfortable expression and felt guilty for putting her in this situation.

"Liam your clearly busy with this girl, so fuck off
and leave us alone!" Noel bluntly stated almost yelling.

"Yeah fucking calm down, let's go, love," he said and smiled sweetly at the girl. This made Dara's heart sink slightly.

With that, they were gone leaving Noel and Dara alone. Noel sighed "I'm so sorry about him he has no filter, it also doesn't help he's high as a kite. I'm so sorry you had to witness that, I understand if you want to leave" Noel's face dropped slightly after saying that he really wanted this night to work out well.

Dara agreed to stay. She thought that this situation was quite amusing. Dara and Noel ended up watching a random movie that was on TV. Dara cuddled into Noel's chest he made her feel safe but her mind kept wandering back to Liam apart of her wished she was the one up in his room.

"Your so beautiful" noel said pulling her out of her daydream.

Dara looked into Noel's eyes and the next thing Dara felt Noel's lips connect with hers.

There was no spark and Dara felt awkward they pulled away and Noel sat up scratching the back of his head.

"Uhh, I should go" Dara announced just trying to break the awkward silence.

"Yeah it's getting late I suppose, do you need me to drive you home?" Noel said quietly

"It's ok ill call a taxi"

"ill walk you out," noel said shrugging

They exchanged awkward goodbyes and Dara walked out of his house feeling very disappointed with how the night had turned out. Dara was walking down the stairs when she heard a strong Mancunian accent shout her name.

"You leaving already did old Noely bore you to death?"

The voice came from Liam, he was sitting on the step with a cigarette hanging loosely in his mouth, his face was illuminated by the full moon.

Not really knowing how to reply shrugged her shoulders "it's just getting late"

"I thought you would be spending the night," he said while smirking "how are you getting home?"

"Oh I was just going to call a taxi," Dara said while looking at her feet trying not to make eye contact with Liam.

"I'll drive you, don't worry about it" Liam smiled.

She reluctantly got into Liam's car remembering the white stuff around his nose thinking if this was a good idea.
