The leader of this whole 'Death Watch' thing seemed a bit... Weird.
His name was Luka. He was short, had blue hair, a black beanie and carried a wooden stick around. What's with people and strange objects like sticks and lamps?
"Oh hey!" He waved at me. I waved back, nervously, of course.
"Serenity is here to join out group" Jasper spoke. I nodded
"Why did you join Death Watch?" Luka said, sitting down on a log.
"I'm a researcher..." I responded.
"Perfect! Also... have you had any sightings?" He asked, his voice was in a soft whisper, as if he didn't want anyone in the woods hearing us...
"Yeah... Actually... I've had them ever since I moved here... They've been banging on my window, showed up in my dreams, and have come into my house." This explanation made everyone's eyes widen.
"Have they tried to hurt thou? Perhaps, kill thou in thy dreams?" Fang asked me. I mouthed a 'No' making her nod to Luka. Luka nodded back at her.
I was confused "What is this about?" I asked, breaking the silence.
Jinx threw a match into a pile of logs, making the flames rise. After all, it was close to dark and it was cold. "We all met together online, and we all have one thing in common" Said Luka. "We have been chosen by "him" and our new lives will soon begin..."
I coughed "What do you mean by "him"? Who is he?"
Fang blinked and Taffy spoke "Mr. Slender.."
I was in shock. THE Slenderman? The Tall Man who would speak to me as a child? The man who at first told me to not be afraid, only to fill my days with terror ever since he came back?
I knew it was a bad idea to join... But i was curious.. Curiosity killed the cat, i know, but this group seemed like one full of trustworthy people who would help me...
A "proxy's" life seems to be not as easy as I thought...
So... Even though I knew it meant my life was on the line, I decided to join... After all... I thought it was fun...
Luka clapped "Great!" He took my hand and put a bracelet in it, the charm had "Ø" on it.
He smiled at me "Welcome to Death Watch"
