(I listen a lot to Melanie Martinez and this song gave me an idea for a one shot, it's at the top)

-3rd pov-

Josh walks in school and heads to his locker. His friends Eddie and Gaege are waiting there for him. Once he gets to his locker he meets the boys. "What's up guys!" Josh says happily. "Hey dawg!" Eddie responds "Ready for mathematics?" Gaege says slightly annoyed at the fact he an Josh both have mathematics for the first period on a monday. Josh grunts at his comment as he opens his locker and grabs his books for first period. "Apparently we have a new teacher for maths fools!" Eddie says. Josh wonders what kind of stuck up teacher this one is going to be. The bell rings. Josh flinches at the sudden sound. Gaege grabs his hand and drags him to their class room. As they enter they're greeted by the new teacher. They greet him back and go sit in the back.

-Mully's pov-

I see the first two boys walk in. A pretty small male with big blue eyes holding the hand of a taller male skinny male with green eyes. Perhaps they're dating i thought to myself. I greet them as they greet me back. The smaller guy giving me a bright smile. They walk off and sit down in the back. As the rest of the students walk in the second bell rings. All students are now seated and i start with introducing myself since none of them know who the hell i even am. "Hello class, my name is Mr.Slay and i'll be your new maths teacher from now on. How about everyone shortly introduces themselves so i can get to know you guys a bit better." I tell them with a smile. Everyone starts introducing them one by one. We eventually get to the two guys from earlier. "My name's Gaege Gibson and i'm 19" the taller guy with green eyes said. "I-i'm Josh Dub and i'm 19" the smaller male with big blue eyes said. "Josh huh?" i thought to myself. I slowly start with my lesson after the introductions. I've prepared an assignment for today to start off strong. Okay for the assignment now i'll tell you your groups now.

I get to the last name and see Josh's name. "Oh..We're with odds apparently." i stop in my tracks and think for a minute. "Josh do you want to so the assignment alone or do you wan't to be added to an existing group?" I look up to him and ask him. "I-i'll do it alone Mr.Slay" He says in a soft tone. "Alright, that's it for today. Class dismissed." i tell everyone as i put away my papers. Gaege has already run off with his partner as Josh slowly comes to the front and stand before me. "Is there something wrong Josh?" i look at him. "I- uhm...i already took a look at the assignment and i kinda need help with something..." he says in a soft tone. I look at my watch and notice the time. Fuck i'm going to be late for my next class. "I really gotta go now Josh, but here is my number so text me for the problem you have" i tell him in a hurry and slip him a note with my number. I grab my case and run off.

-Time skip to lunch-

(still Mully's pov)

I sit down placing my food on the table as i get a flashback from this morning. Fuck i actually gave him my number for that. Why didn't i just give him my e-mail? He must think i'm a bad teacher for giving a number instead of a mail adress. Man when did i become so unprofessional?

I finish my food and hear a comotion in the hallway. I walk out to see some kids bullying someone. I step closer to see who they are bullying and to tell these kids to stop. I see Josh standing there with tears as he got punched by a guy. I grab the guy by the back of his shirt and pull him back. "You go to the principal right now." I let the guy go and look at him with a stern face. "Are you alright Josh?" i say with a worried tone. He falls in my arms. I hold him so he doesn't fall to the floor. This looked so unprofessional but i didn't care, they scared this kid so bad. He was trembling as i held him. "Hey, it's alright Josh i'm here. The bad guys are gone." He holds me tight and sobs against my shoulder. I pick him up bridal style because i didn't know how else and took him to the nurses office. The nurse looked confused at me holding a student.  She then immediatly pointed to a bed so i layed him on there. He passed out from crying probably. "What happened with him?" she asks worried. "Some kids were bullying him. I saw one of them hit him before i separated them and sent them to the principal's office." i explain to her. She checks his face to see his right cheek is bruised badly. Dried up blood on his upperlip and a probably broken nose. "I need to call his parents to take him to the hospital. Poor kid, he's been here before." i look at her shocked at what she said. "He's been here before?" i ask her. "Yeah, he gets beat up a lot. The poor kid doesn't even deserve it." anger took over me for some reason so i stormed off to the principals office where the kid i sent to still is. I barge in, they both turn around to look at me. "This isn't your first time doing something like this to him is it?!" i yell at the kid. The principal looks at the guy. "Is this true Anthony?" he asks with a serious tone. "The nurse told me he's been in there so many times already because SOMEONE keeps beating him up" i say to the principal but look at the guy when is get to the word someone. The guys slightly smiles. "The faggot deserves it." he scoffs. "Excuse me what did you just say about him?!" i say with an angry voice. "He's gay, he deserves it." The principal looks at me before i speak. "You are hereby expelled  from this school young man." he says as he points at the door. The guy gets up angrily and storms out slamming the door hard. "What was the flare up about Mullen?" the principal asks. "I- i'm so sorry sir. it's just i've been trough the same when i was that kids age. I got bullied for the same reason." i tell him. "So- there is nothing between you and the other student?" he says questioning. "W-What? no ofcourse not sir! I barely know the kid." i tell him. Did i really do it because of what happened to me? Or do i actually like my student? i question myself in my thoughts. The principal nods and i walk out.

-Josh's pov-

I wake up in the nurses office on a bed. I don't remember quite what happend. Mr.Slays walks in to see if i'm okay. "Are you alright kid?" he looks at my as he holds my face checking my bruises. I blush at his touch and nod. He gives me a sweet smile. "I got him expelled for you." he tells me. I feel myself tearing up at his words and hug him tight without thinking. "T-thank you so much!" i sob on his shoulder. He pats my head and let's me go. "You're a good kid, don't let anyone tell you otherwise because of your sexuality okay?" he says to me. I look at him realizing he now knows i'm gay. I nod and smile at him as i wipe my tears away. My mom walks in the room with a worried look on her face. She thanks Mr.Slay for helping me and takes me to the car. We get to the hospital to get an x-ray from my nose. It was broken in 2 places. I had to wear this weird bandage over my nose to keep it in place for the next month or two, three. We get home after a long day. I get up to my room and find the paper with Mr.Slay number on it in my pocket. I thought about texting him for a minute and decided to go trough with the plan.

Text messages:

J: Hey Mr.Slay it's Josh from mathematics and the kid you saved today.

M: Oh, hey kid what's up?

J: i just wanted to thank you again for saving me today...Anthony has been beating me up for so long now...

M: Kid, it's my job to protect the students. But i was happy i could help.

I kinda felt sad at that sentence, he just wants to protect all student not just me. Why would i think he would only want to protect me?

M: About that math problem you had? Do i need to come over to help you with it?
