Chapter 2

Kaedes pov
Me and Maki had just finished cooking and miu was going to arrive soon. I was noticing that something was a bit off with maki. Maybe she was just tired or something but I couldn't help but to worry about her. She was my best friend after all.

"Maki! Are you alright? You have been awfully quiet this entire time..."

"Yeah I'm fine. You don't have to worry so much"

"You're my best friend! I cant help but to worry about you"

"Hey Kaede...I'm really happy that you care about me" maki gave me a smile.
I really liked when maki smiled. She didn't smile that much though. But when we were alone with each other she could actually smile a lot.

Someone suddenly knocked on the door.
"It's probably miu! I'll open for her!" I said as I walked to the door and opened it. the most beautiful girl in the world were standing there.

"Kaede I missed you!" Miu smiled and hugged me. I hugged back. Oh what did I do to deserve someone this amazing.

Makis pov
As Miu and Kaede were hugging I couldn't help but to feel jealous. I glared a bit at miu even though I tried not to.

"Okay so Miu you already know maki but I thought that you 2 could try to get closer to each other!" Kaede had a smile on her face.
"Ugh I don't wanna talk to your lame ass friends " miu rolled her eyes.

"Yeah and I don't wanna talk to a slut either." I snapped back. In reality that comment she made didn't really make me mad. I was mostly just jealous because of her and kaedes relationship.

"Maki!! Miu!! Don't be rude!!" Kaede yelled.
"I'm sorry Kaede..." Miu looked guilty. I muttered a sorry and then it went silent until miu spoke. "So are we gonna eat or what?"

"Oh right!" Kaede walked to the kitchen and took out the pizza we made.
"I hope this will taste good!" Kaede looked really happy.
"Well it's obvious it will taste good since you made it!" Miu spoke. I became really jealous but I tried to ignore it

"Aww you're the sweetest Miu!" Kaede smiled. All of us sat down at the table and started to eat. It was pretty silent and none of us really said anything. After finishing the pizza I spoke . "I think it's time for me to go home now..."

"Awww bye maki! See you tomorrow at school!" Kaede gave me a quick hug. I wish that the hug had lasted longer. "Goodbye Kaede. Goodbye Iruma o" I said as I walked out of her house.

I started to walk home to me and Kaitos house. I couldn't believe that Kaede had gotten a girlfriend. I mean it wasn't that surprising since almost everyone crushed on Kaede but I still wish that I would be the one that Kaede loved.I was pretty sure that I would die alone.

I finally got home and opened the door. I walked into the house and was about to go into my room until I heard a voice.
"Hello Maki roll you're home!" Kaito said.
"What do you want?"
"How was it hanging out with Kaede?" He asked me.

I really wanted to tell Kaito about Kaede and Miu because he was the only one that would listen and understand me. But I promised Kaede that I wouldn't tell anyone and I don't wanna break her trust.

"It was amazing..." I lied
"I'm happy it was! And I'm sure Kaede likes you back!"
I wish.
"Yeah...thanks kaito..." I gave him a quick smile.
"Maki roll you should smile more often! Your smile isn't too bad!"
I glared at him as he said that. "Do you wanna die?"
"Woah woah! Calm down Maki roll! I'll probably go and sleep now it's school tomorrow so you should probably go and sleep as well"
"Yeah I will. Goodnight kaito" I said as I walked into my room.

I brushed my teeth and took a quick shower and then changed to a shirt that I like to sleep in.
I laid down on the bed and started to cry. I hated crying because it made me feel weak but I couldn't help it. I just wish Kaede would love me. Why couldn't she love me?! Why is life this unfair? I closed my eyes and tried to fall asleep.

Next morning
"Maki wake up so you won't be later for school!" I heard Kaitos mother scream. Ugh. I really didn't wanna get up from my bed today but I knew I had to.

I got up and picked some good clothes. Then I brushed my hair and put it in my signature hairstyle. Then I walked down to the kitchen. Kaito and his mother was already there.

"Good morning Harukawa? Did you sleep well" Kaitos mom asked me. To be honest I didn't sleep too well but I still nodded. I grabbed a apple and my backpack and then started to walk out of the house.

"Kaito are you coming?" I asked. Kaito then hurried to walk out of the house.
Me and Kaito started to walk to school.
"Are we gonna stop at Kaedes house as usual?" kaito asked me. Since Kaedes house was close to the school we always stopped at her house and then we all three walked to school together.
"Sure." I answered.

After walking to Kaedes house we walked to the door and knocked. Kaede then opened the door and looked happy like usual.
"Maki! Kaito! I'm so happy you stopped by!" She smiled.
"Yeah whatever. Are you coming or not?" I asked with my usual annoyed tone. Kaede laughed a bit. "Grumpy as always!" She said as she walked out of her house.
"Do you wanna die?" I asked and rolled my eyes.

All 3 of us then walked to school. When we had finally arrived we hurried to get to our class. Our first period today was math. We all walked to our lockers and grabbed our books. Then we hurried to math class.

When we walked into math class I could see miu. Great. She was talking to some of her friends. I could see Shuichi and I considered sitting down next to him but he was already sitting down with his boyfriend Kokichi who I couldn't stand. I still wondered how Shuichi could stand being in a relationship with him.

"Hey guess I'll sit down next to miu today!" Kaede suddenly said and kaito gave her a confused look.
"Since when are you and Miu friends?" He asked
"Well...uh..."Kaede started but I cut her off.
"You don't have to care about who Kaede hangs out with you idiot."
Kaede gave me a look that said "thank you" and then she walked to miu and took a seat next to her.

The first periods passed pretty fast. I was trying to pay attention to the teacher but I couldn't focus and the only thing that came to into my mind was Kaede.

After a while it was finally time for lunch. I started to walk to the cafeteria and I saw Kaede run to me.
"Maki! I'm ready to tell Shuichi and kaito about miu now!" She sounded really confident. Kaedes confidence was another thing I admired with her.
"Well that's good I guess. I'm sure they will understand "
"Yeah I hope so!" Kaede and I then walked to the cafeteria.

When we arrived we could see Shuichi and kaito sit at the table the four of us usually sat at. We both walked to the table and sat down next to each other.
"Oh hello Kaede and maki!" Kaito greeted us at we sat down. Kaede give kaito a smile and said a hello back. I started to eat my food and not really paying attention to anything else.

"I have something to tell..." Kaede suddenly spoke.
"Remember that you can tell me anything!" Shuichi was being Kaedes supportive friend like always.
"Yeah you can tell us anything!" Kaito smiled at Kaede. I just sat there waiting for Kaede to tell about her new girlfriend.

"Well so me and Miu are sorta dating ..." Kaede started
