"CAN I DRIVE?" aniela questioned as they walked down to zach's car. his nerves had slowly gone away, though they were sort of still there. like he felt comfortable around aniela but if she rejected him he'd probably be heart broken. it was terrifying yet exciting zach didn't even know how to explain it.
"no." zach laughed and aniela frowned.
"well why not?"
"because last time i let you drive you almost crashed into a mailbox." zach rolled his eyes and aniela raised her eyebrow.
"you know that's rather ironic coming for you." she narrowed her eyes getting into the car, and zach following behind her.
"fine you can drive on the way back." he told her and aniela stayed quiet not believing him. "pinky promise." zach finished his statement, watching aniela hook her pinky around his.
"so where are we going?"
"no idea." zach shook his head as he started driving while aniela clicked on her seatbelt.
"so we're just driving around?"
"wanna go to the zoo?" he asked, taking a side glance at her with a small excited grin on his face.
"can we see-"
"okay before you finish that sentence, you physically cannot see a dinosaur." zach reminded her and aniela just rolled her eyes as she looked out the window.
"I was going to say a koala." aniela corrected and zach turned to her for a second and gave her a knowing glance. "okay no i wasn't but you be quiet."
"here put music on," zach passed her the phone charger and aniela nodded plugging in her phone and just pressing shuffle play on her playlist. "if we go to the zoo don't get excited and run away again." zach told her and aniela frowned.
"i saw a dolphin."
"yeah but i lost you for an hour and you wouldn't pick up your phone!" zach laughed and aniela punched his shoulder slightly, being careful because he was driving.
"you had my phone!"
"okay okay whatever- just don't disappear i thought you were kidnapped."
"that's dramatic." she snorted out and zach narrowed his eyes.
"aniela-"
"I'm messing with you calm down."
soon enough they were at the zoo, a completely new one that they had never been before so they could be caught by surprise. why that was a factor in choosing where they were going? no idea, but it had to be something that was new for them, and if they really liked the place they would go back.
