With a blinding flash, they were back. The multiverse's blankest spot. "No.. NONONONO. PLEASE NO." They whispered. They dropped their device and ran to one of the transparent walls, banging their fists against it. "NO!!!" They screamed, their cry for help echoing throughout the white void. They yelled for help once more, slumping onto the ground. Their voice cracked from pure pain. "No...NO!! I COULDN'T HAVE WASTED ALL THAT FOR NOTHING, RIGHT!? PLEASE!" They let out a last cry.. With no answer. They missed it. They wanted to go back, why... Why did they have to get stuck again? Why? "WHY!!" They fell to the ground, a tear dripping down their skull, as well fading into the void. Too much. All too much. Portals opened left and right, then closing. They sniffled and wiped the tear off, shakily getting back on their feet. It was obvious they couldn't go back by now. "Heh...heh heh.... Heh........." They noticed a portal, and reached into their bag.

The portal wasn't going away, just staying open miraculously. It didn't look anything like home, but they were desperate by now. They rummaged around until they found a chipped knife that they'd broken on a table, which brought back memories but they ignored it completely. They plunged it into their skull and forced it down, forgetting more memories with each carve. They kept it going, finishing at the beginning of their eye socket. They moved the now broken off knife to the end and carved in a sun. They gasped for breath, forgetting too much. Their head bled out spilling the crimson blood on the ground, spreading and getting on their boots. They used a spell, as the carving blended itself into blue. The now in pain skeleton grabbed onto the edge of the portal breathing heavily and gasping. Finally, they could restart. But they didn't remember why. They stumbled through, the blood slowly drying up and being sucked into the rifts of the cracking and breaking 'room'. The void then collapsed, it now had no purpose at all. Now, they were free.
