tobio x tadashi (after the training camp)

the two first years sat next to each other on the bus ride back to karasuno. they had just finished a training camp with some schools from tokyo. during this trip the blue eyed boy and olive haired boy had grown closer. putting their futons next to each other, eating meals together, going on random adventures in their free time, and practicing together. more specifically tobio would practice setting to tadashi as one day in the future tadashi would be playing on the court more often and would be spiking. some of the team found it rather strange that the two were so close but others found it rather cute and thought it worked out.

tadashi was staring out the window with his hand on his face as he felt a weight on his body.

"tobio..?" tadashi looked down to see the setter had fallen asleep. his head on tadashi's shoulder.

tadashi let out a soft giggle as he saw the setter sleeping. he tried to put his arm around tobio without waking him up. tadashi yawned, also tired from the week worth of training. he lightly dug around his bag for a blanket and pulled it up over the setter. tadashi then fell asleep, his head resting on tobio's.

"aww look at them!" shoyo whispered to kei, they were in the seat in front of the sleeping first years.

"looks like the king found his king." kei laughed a little then put his arm around the orange haired boy causing him to blush.

"ah look at that, I guess all of our first years had fallen in love!" the vice captain turned to the captain as he looked at the first years. the other third years heard and started to giggle as they looked at the sleepy blushing first years.

finally, the team had arrived at the school. everyone on the bus was asleep leaving takeda confused on how to wake them.

"we're home!" takeda softly yelled as people started to wake up and yawn. most people getting up to stretch and grab their stuff. tobio groaned as he heard everyone shuffling around. he opened his eyes and rubbed them. he then looked around and saw him intertwined with tadashi. making sure he was awake and not dreaming he rubbed his eyes again. he then realized it wasn't a dream and started to blush.

"oi tadashi." he whispered while still leaning on the olive haired boy. he didn't respond, "dumbass... oh uh.." suddenly tobio felt tadashi's arms wrap around his torso. the setters face turned bright red, he felt comfortable but he knew they had to get off the bus soon. "tadashi!" tobio whisper screamed as tadashi jolted awake in confusion. tadashi looked down and saw his arms around tobio.

"oh tobio! I'm sorry.." tadashi mumbled kind of embarrassed.

"don't worry tadashi, thank you for helping me uh...sleep better." tobio smiled nervously as the two got up and tadashi started to stuff the blanket back in his bag.

"I'm glad." tadashi softly smiled as the pair got off the bus.

the team said their thank you's and goodbye's as they started to walk away from the school.

"hey tobio! do you want to come to my house? we can go to the store and get.." tadashi was quickly cut off.

"yes, it sounds great. can I stop by my home to get some clean clothes and take a shower?" tobio was blushing, the thought of being able to stay the night with his crush made him feel all jittery inside. in fact the two hadn't talked about how they liked each other. they just happened to get close at the training camp. to everyone else it was obvious the two liked each other except they were blind to it.

"sure! let's meet at the store at 6:30!" tadashi had a huge adorable smile on his face that made tobio look away while blushing.

"sounds good!" tobio smiled. the two continued to walk with shoyo and kei tagging a long behind them. all smiles and laughs the whole way. they reached their point where the usually split but kei followed a jumping shoyo to his home. they all waved each other off.

on the rest of his walk home tobio was freaking out. I get to spend time with my amazing cute crush tadashi! this is amazing. I wonder if I should tell him how I feel? tobio approached his house and ran in. he quickly showered and put lotion on to make sure he didn't feel dry or smell weird. he threw a blue crew neck on and slightly tucked it into his loose grey sweats. he packed a small back pack with clothing and whatever else he needed. he told his mom and she said it was okay. he pulled some white sneakers on and dashed out of the house.

tadashi was also freaking out, he ran to his house despite being sore from the camp. he dropped his bags in his room and shuffled to the bathroom. he lightly sung a song while showering then hopped out also putting lotion on. he threw on a large grey zip up hoodie over a tee that was tucked into his loose black jeans. he then quickly cleaned his room and arranged it nicely to make sure it was acceptable. tadashi grabbed his wallet, keys, and slipped some black hightops on. he then walked out and closed the door behind him while pulling some of his hair behind his ears.

the two now were walking towards the store, both panicking on how they would confess their feelings or how this sleepover would go.

I think I'll tell him, I'm not sure when or how but- suddenly his thoughts were interrupted when he bumped into someone.

"IM SO SORRY!" tobio yelled while bowing.

"it's okay tobio! it's me tadashi!" he said softly as he placed his hand on the setters shoulder. tobio looked up and rubbed the back of his neck embarrassed by what just happened. tadashi giggled then grabbed tobio's hand leading him into the store causing tobio to be more flustered than he was previously.

the two went straight to the snacks and grabbed some candy and chips. tobio then saw his favorite cookies and started to drool. he grabbed them and then set them into the basket that was in tadashi's hand causing him to laugh. they went to the drinks and grabbed the sweetest drinks they could find. the two went to the cash register and tadashi insisted on paying even though tobio felt bad. the pair walked out and started walking towards tadashi's house. they then heard some familiar voices as they walked by the park.

"shoyo, you're supposed to receive it with your arms, not your face!" they heard nishinoya laughing as asahi started freaking out. tobio and tadashi laughed as they saw their teammates playing volleyball. the two would've joined but they just spent a week with their team so some alone time sounded nice and peaceful.

they continued their walk, tobio holding the bags because he felt bad that tadashi paid while his other hand was in tadashi's. the two arrived at his house with tobio introducing himself to tadashi's family. they then went into his room where tobio placed the bags of snacks on a desk and placed his back pack on the floor. tadashi flopped on his bed and tobio followed, the two facing each other.

"I like your eyes.." tadashi smiled as he looked at his crushes dark blue eyes. tadashi then fully comprehended what he said and slapped his hand over his face and blushed. tobio turned bright red and tried to look away while mumbling something.

"I..uh..thank you... um.." tobio wasn't sure on how to respond. his face now as bright as a strawberry. "I LIKE YOU!" tobio yelled as he turned to look at the boy who then started laughing. "did I say something..." tadashi cut him off.

"I like you too Tobio.." tadashi was also freaking out but trying to keep his cool. the two smiled.

"can I..." tobio started to mouth when he was suddenly met with lips on his. they pulled apart, both of them blushing like crazy with huge grins.

"well what should we watch?" tadashi got up and turned on his laptop. he then placed it on the bed which he had set up earlier with many blankets and pillows. he grabbed the snacks and placed it next to the laptop. he then walked over to a drawer and pulled out some plaid pajama pants and quickly hopped into them trying not to make tobio uncomfortable by him changing. tobio sat up on the bed and grabbed the laptop.

"hmm how about Ouran Highschool Host Club?" tobio suggested as he opened the box of cookies.

"I LOVE THAT ONE!" tadashi shouted as he flopped himself next to tobio. tobio started it and the two got comfortable. tobio put his arm around tadashi as he put his head on his shoulder, many blankets wrapped around them. they started eating all the snacks as the show went on and would quickly reposition themselves to another way of cuddling. eventually they fell asleep together wrapped in a hug.
