A few months later it was the day of the wedding. Chelsea and Marv had decided to have it in a new place. Chelsea wanted a winter-themed wedding. The McCallister family of course came over, also with a surprise special guest no one would expect to see. It was Old Man Marley who was often an urban legend in Kevin and Chelsea's neighborhood, but became their friend after the first time they were home alone.
He had brought a young special guest with him, his granddaughter named Madison. Kevin thought she looked really beautiful once he got into the age where girls were interesting and beautiful to him and not filled with cooties or only could be friends if she liked to play in the mud or catch frogs too, he thought she was sincerely beautiful. She must have been coming over to sing for the occasion due to being in a young person's church choir in Christmas pageants. Chelsea was in her changing room, she looked very nervous, but happy.
Max was wearing a light green dress to fit with the mood and even had a holly beret in her hair. "This is just too exciting, my best friend's wedding, I've been dreaming of this day since we were kids!"
Chelsea was in a soft blue almost white dress. Her hair was up and slightly curled. She paced up and down.
"Aw, Chels, it'll be okay..." Max soothed. "If it helps, your dress isn't the only one that's glowing."
Chelsea looked at her. She smiled slightly.
Max smiled back. "I'm very excited for you though... I can't believe before today you were plain old Chelsea McCallister, and now you're on your way to become Mrs. Marv Merchants." She then went, a little obsessively trying to arrange Chelsea back in order, she seemed to be anxious, though in a good way, herself about this wedding thing.
Chelsea didn't mind, almost as nervous herself. "What if I do something stupid and rip my dress, or fall flat on my face?" She asks, desperately.
"Hey," Max called to her in a scolding tone, then something playful about how clumsy she was most of the time. "That's my job."
Chelsea looked at her friend, taking her hands.
Max smiled at her. "Chels, you'll be fine, you were always the strong one when we were growing up. Trust me, you'll be just fine and when your old man walks you down that aisle and you exchange your vows, you'll live happily ever after and Lex and me will visit all the time and hope to look up to you both for advice before we even get married."
Chelsea smiled, laughing a little. "Sure thing, Max... Thank you." she says softly.
"You can do it, I know you can!"
Chelsea smiled. "Almost time." she says, sounding breathless.
Max gave a nod and a confident smile for her friend. "I hope the boys are alright."
Lex was tuning his guitar to preform a song for Chelsea and Marv to congratulate them, Kevin was adjusting in his suit, wishing Kate wouldn't baby him while he wore it to look his best, and more guests were filing in. Mitch Murphy came too and hid a snicker as he saw Kevin looking like a kid-sized bachelor or something. Lex hummed, using his vocals to tune the guitar. Kate was sorting out his tie.
"Mom..." Kevin whined a little.
Kate merely smiled. Marv was a bit nervous himself, but not as much as Chelsea.
Lex looked at Marv. "Relax." he says.
"I don't know if I can do this..." Marv was very nervous.
Kevin looked over. "Wow, I've never seen him like this..."
"We'll all be fine, nerves are normal when you're the bride or groom, but it'll all be fine, I promise." Peter assured.
"Just think, she's made herself look beautiful for you... and wants to be with only you." Lex then continued.
