Mission accomplished?

The bell rang, and in an instant, a flock of sweaty people rushed out of the cafeteria. Within 13 seconds, I was left by myself in the empty cafeteria.

I piled up all of my new school supplies and took a look at my schedule. "First period" I read aloud. " Theatre arts class." With a complaining sigh, I started to head toward the classroom.

When our papers came around last year to sign up for electives, I automatically checked off library aide with my sparkly blue pencil. Then, my mom said that I spent to much time reading and needed to socialize some more. How stupid is that?!? I try to get good grades and try to learn, but it turns out that I am actually supposed to be going to parties and social activities. Anyway, my mom made me try out for the theatre class, but if I didn't make it, I could be library aide.

So, my work is simple. I totally bomb the audition, don't make it in, then I can be library aide. Simple, simple, simple. Those were my complete intentions until my best friend, Miranda, said she was auditioning. She convinced me to actually try on my audition. And surprisingly, I made it in. I wasn't all that excited, until Miranda told me she did also. I actually had a feeling that this was going to be a fun class.
Over the summer, Miranda and I practiced a whole lot on different theatre exercises so we could be good once we got there. I was seriously excited , until Miranda told me that she was moving the Texas . I just totally wasted my summer, And the chance to be library aide, something that I actually wanted to do.

It's funny how everywhere that I went, cliques were formed. Even in a class where you were supposed to embrace your inner actress. I just walked in, keeping my head low, hoping that nobody would notice me. I was almost to an empty seat when someone put their hand on my shoulder.

MIssion failed. I looked up to see a tall, dirty blonde male, smiling a gentle smile. Maybe this mission wasn't much of a failure.
