Look, it's hot- and I mean it. I'm not one to be bad with heat, but if I were to estimate the temperature, I would say something around 113 degrees Fahrenheit, so for everyone outside the US, 45 degrees Celsius. Mind you, this would technically be considered a heatwave, seeing as it's February in New York. Anyway, my whole body is sunburnt and I'm in the middle of absolutely nowhere.

You know, it's kind of hard to be in the middle of nowhere. That's the first problem. I don't have service either so that's also an issue. Anyway, I'm gonna go wander for a bit and see if I can get enough service to call the police I guess.                                                                                                    UPDATE: FOUND SERVICE, PHONE DIED, OUT OF WATER WHAT NOW GOOGLE CANT HELP ME update 2, found camp, phones charging. I'm gonna try and venture back out in a bit to call someone

(mm im good at writing-)

Did you know there are bears in New York? I sure didn't. Just my luck I would've run into a bear while lost in the middle of who-knows-where. I don't even think I was still in New York! Anyway (#3 lol) I ran into a bear. Very literally. Honestly, I don't think I've run harder in my whole life. Don't think I ever will either. Yeah, that was the second problem. I think. Is it?

Eventually, I walked (well more ran but that isn't really the point now is it?) far enough that the police to find me. It took a few hours, sure, but still. One bear, sunburns where I hope I'm never sunburnt again, and like eight giant gashes on my knees from just giving up on life, I was found. I got a lecture from my roommate but I was found!

Describing my lesson is easy; look at the weather. It makes everything easier and I would've done so many things differently if I had checked it before my trip. Definitely the most eventful camping trip I've experienced, though. Also, learn the wildlife in your area first. I don't think I can look at bears the same ever again.
