Shadows(Chapter two)

    Darkshadow was walking home from the hell hole known as school. Crystal followed close behind, still worried about the notes in her friends locker. A warm wind blew, signaling that spring was soon coming. The wind tugged at her hair, Darkshadow stared ahead. Her house was coming up, she got slightly tense. She gripped the backpack strapes on her shoulders. She walked up to the door of her house, her father threw open the door and dragged her in. Crystal looked shocked but thought nothing of it. The house smelled of alcohol. She immediately cringed to the smell. She broke out of his grip and ran upstairs. She heard his slurred words and swearing. She shut the door and put a chair where the door knob  was. She ran to the window hoping to see Crystal. She sighed when she saw she wasn't there. She picked up her phone, an old phone with a cracked screen. She texted Crystal a simple 'hey'
'Hey' responded crystal 'What was that about?'
'I don't know.' Said Darkshadow, Crystal said she had homework and stopped responding. Darkshadow sighed and looked at the window, she heard the chirp of a bird and the caw of a crow. She saw another girl was standing near her window. It was one of her other friends, Pine.

"Hey Darkshadow!" Said Pine, she waved and Darkshadow waved back. She heard a thump behind her and saw her door was trying to be shoved open. She shook her head around nervously.

"H-Hey Pine." Said Darkshadow, Pine frowned looking at her friends state of mind.

"What's the matter?" Asked Pine, Darkshadow shook her head and walked deeper into her room. She grabbed her smaller school looking desk. She placed it under the door, she kept the chair next to the door just incase. Darkshadow returned to the window.

"Nothing." Said Darkshadow, Pine looked up with skeptical eyes.

"Sure. Hey want to come over to my house?" She asked, Darkshadow shifted and nodded and climbed out if the window. She kept it open so she could get through it later. One if Pines eyebrows were raised.

"Uhh..want me to try and get on contact with Crystal? We can go to the park." Said Pine, she looked at Darkshadow. The totodile sweatshirt kept Darkshadow protected from the stronger breeze.  Darkshadow shrugged, not knowing what to decide, it was friday. The weekend was finally here.

"Sure...if you want." Said Darkshadow, Pine smiled and quickly called Crystal who said would be there in 10 minutes. Darkshadow sat on a bench, scratching her side, she winced when she felt a bruise kn her side. She told her friends she tripped an fell-but it more then that.

"You 'kay?" Said Crystal, making both Pine and Darkshadow jump in shock.

"Yea." Said Darkshadow, a small grin was set on her face. She never really was ever able to get out with friends. Her friends worried about her. Crystal pulled something out of her purse. A small Godzilla figuring was in her hand.

"I found it in a a box upstairs. I know you like Godzilla. So here yah go." Said Crystal, handing over the figuring over to Darkshadow. Darkshadow looked at Crystal in shock. Her mother had gotten her into godzilla when she was a young kid. She loved the kaiju ever sense.
