She stood there, disbelief in her eyes.
Who was he?
Who was she?
Why were they familiar?
.
.
.
Had they met before?
.
.
.
Or was it something else?
"Um, but anyways... I'm sorry... I should've paid more attention to where I was going..." she said after looking at the ground dejectedly. Shifting, she moved to walk away, and go home but a crowd of people surrounded her and the boy or sunshine.
"Do you know her, Kyojuro? Why didn't tell us you had a foreign friend?" A tall man smiling widely in the back shouted making (y/n)'s face go a bit red. In a way to cover up her embarrassment, she pushed through the crowd and all the noise. Running, she didn't know where, and she didn't know why. She just ran.
As the sun slowly set, she realized it had been awhile and decided to take a break from her constant walking or jogging. Pulling her book bag over her shoulder she leaned against a building and watched the sky darken to a crisp and dark blue. The feeling of lonely slowly sank in. She missed your friends. She missed your school. She missed your dad. She missed everything that she had to leave behind.
Understanding wasn't something she'd be able to do, not easily. Why was her mother so fascinated by the culture?
"This seat taken?" A girl with bright pink hair that faded to green asked with a smile as sweet as candy. Shaking her head, she slid over a bit so the girl could sit down next to her. "I saw you running from school, something happen?"
(Y/n) gazed at the darkening sky with a sigh. "Nothing I can't handle." She spoke simply.
"Maybe, but are you okay? You look sad."
She turned her attention to the girl she knew she'd nickname 'candy', "wouldn't anyone if they happened to be looking up at the stars wonderingly?" She chuckled hoping they'd get the humor.
The girl giggled and made (y/n) smile as she looked back up at the sky. "What's your name? Maybe we can be friends!"
(Y/n) hesitated for a second, "it's (y/n). (L/n) (y/n). What's about you?"
"I'm mitsuri, pleasure to meet you!" She smiled and stood up. "You look like you could use a friend, how about we go get ice cream, on me?"
Smiling, she took her hand and followed her. She happily lead (y/n) through the new city until they reached a small building with a huge ice cream cone symbol above it. 'Fancy', (y/n) thought. The district smelled sweet, she could tell this was the place to go if she ever got a sweet tooth, but it was also just as loud. She couldn't hear herself think over all the noise, it was horrible. Regardless, her 'friend' pulled her along into the building where a bell rang as the door closed behind them. The employees greeted them and gave them a place to sit, telling them to wait.
"How long you been here?" Mitsuri asked. Her head was tilted, showing the curiosity. Straightforward, something (y/n) liked.
" a few days." She responded blankly, after all, she was still salty about being forced to be there. "My mom made me move from California because she got a job here in fashion and designing." She explained a bit further so mitsuri didn't think it was because she was uninterested.
"That's so cool!" She chanted as the waiter came by and asked what they wanted.

(Y/n) closed the door behind her as she entered her new apartment with a sigh. Instantly, she was enveloped in a tight hug, a smile beckoning it's way onto her features. The tall boy let go and smiled down at her as he greeted her and asked how her day at school was.
"It was alright, nothing too drastically different to be honest, Giyuu. How's the job hunt going?" She asked her older brother with a smirk knowing he was unsuccessful. The man looked at her with a hurt look but it soon turned into a grin as he picked her up and swung her around, making her dizzy as she shouted for him to put her down.
"That's how I felt when I epically failed finding a job." They both laughed as (y/n)'s mother walked in with a glass of champagne.
She smiled, "he did fine, no one ever finds a job on the first day so don't bully him too much. I think it's time to celebrate though, for successful long moving to Japan, a place I've wanted to go for years." (Y/n) couldn't help but feel happy for her mom, after all, her dreams came true... she just didn't know why she had to be apart of it.
The three of them all began to laugh and have fun making a mess and goofing off. The neighbors were probably pretty annoyed since the walls are so thin, but it didn't make a difference to the family. For the time being, they were happy. They kept one another happy until they passed out together on the couch in the middle of the room.
After a few hours, (y/n) woke up and slowly slid her way out from under the two. Tired, she went over to the balcony and yawned, gazing at the streets below. It was so peaceful, surprisingly considering how big cities are. She thought it was peaceful, at least, until she saw a man shove a woman into one of the dark alleyways, a scream being let out. She couldn't see very well, so she looked at how far the drop was then at the building in front of her. She thought of a way she could get down, fast, without getting hurt... then it occurred to her, she had always been good at last minute choices, athletically, so she did what any unnormal person would do and jumped off the balcony.
Falling, she looked for handles and spotted a metal bar just below her so as she passed it, she stuck her hand out and latched onto it to stop her descent. Looking around or more things, she figuring jumping onto one of her neighbor's balcony should bother them much, so she decided to climb downwards using those, jumping from each one until she reached the bottom and touched the ground. She ran in the direction of the alley, and she could hear the screams of the woman. She was glad she had ran track for the majority of her school career, as she kept running. When she reached the alley, though, she instantly regretted it.
There it was, a scene she'd never forget.
Blood covered the walls and the ground. Puddles of it surrounded the man and woman. They were covered in it. The stench alone would've driven anything away.
"Ohhoo! I get another treat!"
...
A/N: welp.
