The comfort you gave
The feeling of being safe and needed
Protected and loved
Thank you for loving me
For being my hero in battle
my doctor when I'm sick
And my chef when I have the munchies
You put up with my anger tantrums
My beast of a dog
And my special requests
You never complain nor lie
Your trust in me is endless
And your love never dies
Why do you care for such a difficult person?
Somehow you've shown me
The good in the bad
And the bad in the good
Our different life styles
Change how we see
We learn and grow together as one
Partners in crime and life
We live as if we've known each other our whole lives
Communicate when I'm around
Keep up with me when I'm not
I do not deserve the love you give
The way one loves should be matched
Equal
An agreement to continue together
To be happy and honest forever
If the chance ever came
Do I take it and leave
Or stay and make amends
If the life I made isn't right
Then what will make my shallow empty shell of a soul happy

We never heard a sound
Driven by mistake and aroused by the town
Finding our muse in the poems
And our thoughts on the screens
We came together in the darkness
And became something serene
Together we will have fallen
But separated you feel isolated
Screaming at the top of your lungs
So loud no one can hear
You echo in your mind like a sphere
Shapeless and drifting you disappear
Hope is the way that one day
These fears will turn into tears
In the pain won't stay it'll fall away
Building a river under a bridge
To escape the monsters amid
