Terenece

"Oh, sorry!" Terence hopped away from the girl he'd run into, still getting used to the feeling of frost on his wings.

She turned around, ready to say something, but Terence lit up. "Periwinkle, right?" He'd recognize Tink's sister anywhere are the whole 'save the tree' debacle.

She smiled. "Um, yeah. And you are...?"

"Sorry." Terence laughed. "I'm Terence." He ignored the flash of recognition at his name in her eyes. "Have you seen Tink?"

"Terence!" No sooner had he finished the question did Tinkerbell smack into him, slightly taller than her usual self due to the paperclips she was skating on.

It'd been two months since the border opened, but Terence hadn't been able to get himself across until now. Two months of working late at the dust depot, two months of Tink begging him to come when she did, and two months of trying to get over the fear of meeting her sister.

Sure, he'd kissed Tinkerbell once. Sure, he'd been terrified at the sight of her torn wing. Sure, he wanted to kiss her again. But what if Periwinkle didn't like him?

"Hey!" He reached out, steadying her as she stumbled off the ice and onto the snow. She kicked off the lost things and was back at her usual, short self.

She wrapped an arm around his, and Terence pretend not to enjoy the fact that Tink was this close to him.

"Peri, this is Terence!" She introduced him, and they nodded at each other. "He's a dust fairy."

"Most important job in Pixie Hollow," another boy came up behind Periwinkle, winking. "That's sick, man."

Terence rubbed the back of his neck. "Well, it sure is a lot of work."

"That's why he hasn't been able to make it," Tink explained. "Did the other guys make it today?"

Terence grinned. He'd lost Gary, Jerry, and Kenneth in the crowds, but they'd crossed the border together. "Yeah. Gary saw Mary and beelined, and I don't know what happened to Ken and Jerry, but they're around."

The guy with Periwinkle nodded slowly, like this was the most interesting thing ever, but he wasn't really focused on them. Tink smiled at Terence, like ignore him

"It's nice to meet you finally, Terence," Periwinkle said. She winked at him. "Tink's told me a lot about you."

Tinkerbell turns a little red, and Terence rolls the shoulder that she isn't leaning on. Rosetta and some guy go skating by, basically intertwined.

"So, what do we do for fun over here other than skate?" Terence asked, watching people skate without a problem. He'd probably bust and cause a pileup.

"Skatings fun," Tink says, smiling up at him.

"Oh, come on, you do not expect me to put those on and try to glide on ice, do you?"

Tink grins like she had planned exactly that, but then she relents. "We're about to go sledding. Be my partner?"

"What are friends for?"

Tink

Peri is quick to side up to Tinkerbell when Fawn starts chatting with Terence.

"When you said he was coming today, I expected you to stick to the 'we're just friends' charade you had going," she tells me.
