A New Beginning

We got there 2 days later. When we pulled up and I felt Luke and Cass's uneasiness through the link.

'Easy, guys, it's just another mission.' I mind-linked them.

We all climbed out and I pulled a sleeping Lily from her car seat while Luke picked up Will.

Luke stood on my right flank and grabbed my spare hand as Cass stood on my left flank and placed a hand on my shoulder lightly. I smiled in a thanks to them as we walked to the house with the rest of the pack trailing behind. I quickly mind-linked them and told them that this was our old pack. Carson, John, and Mark growled while Amanda and Clary looked shocked. They all quickly recovered as Jason walked out.

My breath hitches slightly before I became calm again.

"Hello Alpha Night!" He greeted and went to shake Luke's hand, not recognizing him, Cass, or me.

Luke just looked at him. "I'm not the alpha." Luke stated.

Jason looked confused as he looked toward Carson and John who both shook their heads no.

"I'm the alpha of the Night Pack." I said, finally stepping forward.

"Well then, nice to meet you." he said looking sheepish.

'Go die!' my wolf barked in my mind at him.

She still holds a grudge apparently. I nodded stiffly.

"Follow me to your rooms please." Jason said. My pack and I followed him in.

"We only have 6 rooms instead of the 7 you asked for, sorry about that." he apologized. I nodded as Luke and I took the still sleeping twins into my designated room. We tucked them in and walked back out to get our things.

I grabbed the twins' two bags, planning to come back for the other two, but instead, Luke and Cass grabbed the other two bags for me. I smiled at them in thanks as we brought our bags inside.

Our rooms were in a good place, we had one hall for just us. I had the door at the end of the hall followed by Luke's on the right of mine, then Cass's on the left. Then there was John and Clary's room next to Luke's but across from Carson and Amanda's and lastly, Mark had the room at the end of the hall.

Jason met me in the hallway and asked if him, his beta, myself and my beta could talk in his office. I accepted and as soon as Luke, Cass, and I had set down our bags, I picked up the twins and we went to the meeting.

We walked into his office and sat on the couch that was there. I saw Jason's best friend, Jonathan, standing behind him.

'He must be Jason's beta.' Cass mind-linked me. I nodded. Jason took that as a sign to start.

"I asked for you to bring your beta only." he stated.

I looked at him defiantly. "My beta is here along with my co-alpha, proceed with our meeting or we shall retire to our rooms and not discuss plans." I said.

He looked at me. "Then why are there children here?" he questioned.

"They are my kids, my responsibility. I won't just put them in the rest of my packs care without asking them first, plus they are asleep." He nodded and told us of the situation.

Apparently a few rouges were trying to overthrow him. Luke snorted when he heard that the alpha of our old pack couldn't protect his own. Soon everything was planned. My pack and I would train everyone who has shifted in the mornings and afternoons for two weeks. Then we would leave and go home. We don't get into the fights of other packs as we have our own territory and family to protect.

Just before our meeting was over Lily started screaming in her sleep, I hurriedly shook her awake. She opened her eyes, tears streaming down her face, and lunged at me. I quickly wrapped her in a hug as she cried into my neck for about 5mins with Luke rubbing her back and me rocking her gently. When she finally calmed down, her eyes searched for her brother and found him sleeping in Cass's arms. She then took in her surroundings but when her eyes landed on Jason she shrieked in fear. She wiggled out of my arms and around to hide behind me.

'What's wrong, Lily-Flower?' I asked her through the mind-link.

She pointed straight at Jason and said out loud, "That's the man from my dream." Cass and I gasped as Luke growled and stood up, standing in front of Cass, the twins, and I. I pulled a now awake Will from Cass's arms and held both my kids while walking backwards to the door with Cass at my side. I mind-linked the rest of the pack telling them what had happened and where we were.

Soon Carson, Amanda, Mark, John, and Clary where in the room with us. John stood in front of everyone with Luke, growling at Jason and Jonathan, while Carson and Mark stood behind us, slowly pulling me backwards out the door. As we slowly back out, Carson put an arm over my shoulders and grabbed Lily while Mark grabbed Cass's arm and we ran to my room, hearing the others running behind us.
