There it is. The warehouse. There was trees surrounding the area, but the moonlight shining down on the building only caused it to stand out. This was it. My time to shine. I'm so tired of being looked down on at the place I work. I may be new to the job, but I am no rookie.
About six months ago, I overheard some coworkers chatting. No one dared to get a close up photo of the "Show Host," let alone an interview. I did what any crazy person would do and looked for the man. I wanted to prove to them that they were wrong about me. Of course, I don't plan to get an interview of the "show host." What I plan to do is spy on him a little and get some info that no one has ever heard about! Let's see if a rookie can do that! That is how I ended up here. Hiding in the bushes from a far, as if I was stalking my prey. Only, I am the prey in this situation, about to walk into the lion's den.
Before I go any further, I should do a bit of explaining. Who is this "show host"? Why is everyone so scared of him? Well, everyone knows his name, for he likes to wave it all over the place. Jack, Jack Carbon is his name. The infamous TV show killer. For years, he kidnapped people in the dead of the night and put them through torturous puzzles as he puts it live on TV. Unfortunately, none of the law enforcements could find him because he is always moving and uses magic to conceal himself. Well, that is their excuse. After just months of research and analyzing, I managed to hunt him down. All so I could make a report for the newspapers. Now you know my story before my possible death.
A shiver goes down my spine. Possibly a warning for me to go back. Still, I put the film in my camera and make my way out of the bushes. I've already scouted the area. Surprisingly, there isn't much security. Either he has already left or that cocky bastard really thinks that no one is going to find him. I find my way to the building, while hiding out of sight. I lean up against the wall and quietly open the door, careful to not make a sound. Then I head inside.
