Just as pulled up to the gate joey noticed I had company 'shit! Have you got your ID on you?' I almost screamed at cara whilst she was mesmerised by the large mansions that spilt up the fields down our road.

"Errrmm......... yeah, my student ID, is that ok?' She asked seeming puzzled by question, looking back at her I knew I was going to have to explain this further, which I was dreading as I didn't want my past being a part of my future.

"I need you ID to check in with Joey, can you pass it over please' I say sticking my hand out whilst I pull up in front of the gate, she hands it over reluctantly wondering why she would need to show ID just to get into someone's home,

"does your family work for the president or something' cara chuckled as joey checked her ID. 'Mam please step out the car' joey requested as he opened the car door, slowly but surely she got out and stood waiting to be patted down as well having the metal detector fed want ran over her. Joey spoke into his sleeve and I know he was just let the rest of security know she was all clear.

Driving slowly through the gates after cara climbed back into car looking astounding as to what happened that soon changed when she noticed how long my driveway was.

"Holy shit! Your loaded, I mean I figured with the car and all! But your seriously loaded" she exploded with joy taking everything in.

When we finally reached the door I jumped out the car and threw the keys to Charlie asking him to put the car in the garage for me but not at the back as I will need it later to take cara home. Cara wasn't sure where to look and suddenly went quite again when she noticed Charlie giving her his stunning smile.

"'who is that! And where do I sign up to eat that boy" she whispered in my ear as we walked into the house. Smelling the divine dinner I knew Kate was cooking away, I made a quick dash to my bedroom so we can talk.

"So spill! Why is Brooklyn so possessive over you!, I know I said I wouldn't pry but ex's don't behave that way" I shot out questions at her with a brow raised and silence now filling the room. Amazing this girl doesn't stop speaking once now she carnt say a single word. Just before I was about to talk, she tells me she's concerned about what will happen if anyone fount out, the sadness in voice and the worry from her eyes made me not push further but I need information about what I've got my self into in order to have 1 friend, who knew first impressions really did last.

"I will tell you on the condition you tell me something about you, what was with security check, are your parents like FBI or something" she chuckled until she saw I wasn't laughing, "rock, paper, scissors on who goes first? On the count of three ROCK,PAPER, SCISSORS .......... SHOOT!' .... bollocks I though she got scissors I had paper. Great it was nice having an unpaid friend for a short while,

"so what do you wanna know exactly because my back story will have you here until after Christmas" I gave a forced laugh whilst sneaking in the back of my walk in wardrobe to grab alcohol free cocktail bottles.

"Just why I need ID and why you defended me when you can see no one else would" you can see her pondering her own question but you can see she was more bothered by the level of security that was needed. "Truth be told the security we're checking for drugs, alcohol and condoms, a few years back a lot news came out about my family and I couldn't handle it, so I did what any teenager would do, I spiralled out of control" pausing to have sip of my drink and letting cara take in what I said. "I went crazy from high and drunk to having sex with different people just prove I could, then when I stopped getting high all the time I could feel the pain seeping in and the loneliness return so I turned to sex, if you had a dick I would ride it, I was safe and got friends to get me condoms so my parents didn't noticed what I was doing but that didn't save me"looking at cara briefly before I said the next part "except they eventually fount out"

Tears started to well up in my eyes making it hard to see, I was feeling old feelings arise then I remember to breath and calm my self, "you see when parents don't care and ignore you but give you all the materials you can ever dream off then there is no reason for you to not be happy, but then I saw it! I saw the mother fuckers for what they actually thought of me, a trophy child someone the thought that could dust off when they wanted to show how they had it all" the lump my throat becoming thicker with each word spoken, next my breathing hitched and my voice shook. "then they did it, they showed me I wasn't worth loving,  not by directly telling me but sending me away from my friends and all family and allowing no contact with anyone until I was 'fixed'" ...huh never really thought about my parents thought I could be fixed before now and find it funny that they sent me away to be fixed when I told them all I needed was their love and affection.

The darkness swept over thicker and faster when I was sent away, if only parents knew how the "miracle camp to cure all" fixed girls like me, what we had been put through, what the boys in the opposite camp did even when they knew they shouldn't have been on our camp grounds. You know, until you look back where you've been and how far you've come, you never actually know how hard shit was but in that moment everything seems 10times worse. Looking back at cara after I finished my short story you can see the sadness and pity in her eyes, not wanting to feel like the weak, broken girl I once was I turn with a wicked glint in my eye, "so now your turn, what actually happened between you two?"
