CHAPTER 1: MEETING HER

I laughed as Tommy screamed as a creeper blew him up. His loud laugh was all I could her through my headset. I picked up his things and walked to spawn where he respawned  and gave him his items. Very faintly through my headset I heard a shout.

"Tommy come have dinner!"

Its clearly obvious that he was Tommy's dad. I saw Tommy's face go red then he shouted back.

"OK DAD I'M COMMINGGGGG,"

 I chuckled but hurt inside. How come he has such loving parents?
After Tommy said bye to me and both our streams ended I got a monster drink and sighed I wanted a moment to just breath. I was hiding all the sadness inside. Nobody knows how much I am a disappointment to my parents. They think that gaming is only bad things.

"Its bad for your eyes."
"you'll go blind if you watch too much screen,"
"girls shouldn't play video games."

All of this bullshit I have to listen to everyday. I'm fed up of it. I'm turning 18 in a month. One more month until I can legally run away.  With all of the money I earn from gaming and donations its all gone to my stuck up family who only care about their appearance and opinions. I flopped down on my bed and closed my eyes. Until my phone started ringing. I picked up without looking at the caller id.

"Hello." I sighed.
"Hi Y/n, what's up you sound sad?" 
"Its nothing you have to worry about Wilbur, I'm fine." 

Wilbur was one of my childhood friends I grew up with for many years. He was quite a gentleman , and I know that he will insist and will definitely know what's happening in the end. 

"Y/n... please tell me what's happening.." Wilbur used his deep voice and when he uses his deep voice, he gets what he wants. I sighed. 

" Wilbur sorry to break it to you but I've been hiding a lot of things from you."
"Like what things?"
"My family is becoming too toxic, I'm planning on running away soon." 
"What did you say?!" Wilbur said in disbelief. 
"Wilbur you heard me." at this point I wasn't even trying to hide things.

"Y/n why? why are you going to run away?" The anger inside me was rising until I remembered that Wilbur hasn't physically seen my parents change into the monstrosities that they are.

I told Wilbur the whole story on how my parents changed. When we used to play together in Primary School everything was alright, happy memories, happy parents. Until in High School, that was the time things totally changed. I had to "grow up.", my parents expected to highly of me in High School and wanted me to become a doctor. I don't want to be a doctor I have other dreams of my own. I confronted them about that and they completely lashed out and became 10 X more strict. I did some more stupid shit like dying my hair, getting a small tattoo, getting piercings and many more dumb things. They told me to get a job so I started gaming. I was gaining way more money than my sister but they still don't like me. This family was way to toxic for me to handle.

I knew that Wilbur was in a lot of shock right now.  I heard his heavy sigh through the phone.
"Alright Y/n.. Please come over right now to my house right NOW." I was confused he sounded angry. Am I going to be a disappointment to one of my best friends now?! 

I made my way downstairs and grabbed my coat.
"Where the fuck are you going you little Bitch. " My dad in front of me in my way hands crossed. My mouth gaped open, I had to think about an excuse. and fast.
"I'm taking the bins out.. then going to the park." My dad looked at me disapprovingly. 
"Shop  for the groceries too. I want cigarettes, beer, wine, nicotine and fruit, burgers, fries,7up, coke and Dr pepper. ."

Now how the fuck do I remember all of that shit. I guess I have to store it in my tiny ass brain. Like always. I made my way out of the house and started running to Will's house. I rang the door bell and saw a tall figure walking towards the door.

"Wilbur I-" I was cut of by Wilbur.... hugging me?
"Y/n  why didn't you tell me earlier? I could've helped you earlier." I widened my eyes. I sank deeper into his warm embrace.
"I just couldn't bring it up I'm sorry." I felt stupid for not telling him earlier I was too scared to get help.
"Come on lets head to my room." He guided to towards his room. I sat down on his bed whilst he sat on his chair where he streams. 

"Straight after you run away your staying at my house and there's no way you can stop that." I looked at him and smiled.
"Thankyou Wilbur."  I walked over to him and hugged him again full of thankfulness. 

I suddenly turned my head to see the door opening. There was a blond haired girl at Wilbur's bedroom door. She gasped as she saw us. I quickly sat on Wilbur's bed backing away from him quickly.
"I'm so sorry am I interrupting something here?" her voice was sweet. Just in hearing her voice I felt sympathy for her.
"I-uhm nope you aren't." I quickly tried to redeem myself snapping out of the thoughts that I thought about her on.
"This was not the way I wanted you two to meet." Wilbur said. I sensed that things were started to get awkward. "Niki please introduce yourself."
"Hi, I'm Niki Nihachu nice to meet you." she smiled sweetly at me. The realest smile I have seen. I smiled back.
"Hi Niki I'm Y/n its nice to meet you too."     
"The reason I called you is actually because I wanted you two to meet but not for this reason...." Wilbur rubbing his hand on his neck awkwardly. 
"What's happening here?" Niki asked. "Not that its any of my business." she added.
"I think that Y/n would like to keep it a-"
"No Wilbur its ok, I'll tell her." I cut him of. Wilbur looked at me shocked. This was the first time he had seen me want to open up to someone so quickly. And it was mine too.

For the next 30 minutes I explained to Nihachu about all of the troubles I was having. She looked at me with a face full of sympathy.
"Wow....I am so sorry Y/n...Please tell me the things I can do to help you." she sounded so worried. And I loved that. She was such an angel. She was too good for this world. I had never met someone like this. She is the type of person I would love to live with for the rest of my life.
